Before / After

Shuffling along day to day in a tedium dark and gray
Punctuated by sleep and small desires
Shaken alive by the first glimpses
of you, stirring my ebbing fires
A birth of hope in a former desert of arid dreams
like dew sparkled blades of grass
I drink hungrily of your lips since first they touched to mine
Lips now bruised full sleek and tart by repeated kisses
Still I cannot taste enough of your musk sweet throat and tongue
I revel in our ravishment of each other's skin, Trailing a
surrsation of sensate liquid kisses from throat to nipple to inner
thigh and back up again leaving a path of pink heated
arousal, watching lips redden without lipstick as we gasp
and shudder our way up the tree
I am partially exhausted just
writing this melange of dream and memory,
So I turn the page with the simpler and slightly
less intense pleasures of exchanging
smiles, grins, fleeting touches and embraces
And the soft warmth filling
my heart while listening to
your sighs, breath and words
quietly over the twisting pairing
