Another Crack in the Matrix
You may wish to know of a simple yet effective tool to de-program yourself after exposure to the portion of the matrix that spreads audiovisual mind control. Or more simply put, how to reclaim your own thoughts after seeing television advertising.
Keeping in mind that almost everything on television is either a distraction or a lie. Sadly this even applies to some of what used to be known as "public television". It stopped being truly public television when our corporate representatives and bankster senators removed public funding, leaving PBS to the lack of mercy of the corporations, foundations and banks that are now their sole major supporters. Can't have an independent media around now can we ?
One of the few things which good governance used to do well was things intended for the good of all citizens, such as public radio, public parks, public television, public restrooms, public libraries and public education. These things are are now descried and de-funded by the slander that they are "socialism" and such might lead to worse horrors - aka "communalism".
Yet our supposed representatives and senators and indeed all federally employed persons benefit from socialized single payer health care, that they deny to the rest of us. Hoisting us on the petard of "insurance companies". Certainly no less a racket than Wall Street. Yet we all benefit from the "socialism" of having brigades of firemen or emergency medical service ambulances.
We have been blinded by repetitive rhetoric to the truth that socialism is only social solutions to problems that benefit all members of our societies and the deception that those "others" receiving "social services" are somehow getting or taking undeserved and unneeded benefits.
But I digress, the simple way to avoid entrapment in marketing warfare and other propaganda on television is to restate the slogans, declarative sentences, tag lines and introductory constructs as
their polar opposites. For example, the recent Chase bank ads that urge you to "chase what matters." well money does not matter, it only has value to those who agree it does. So a polar opposite would be "chase what is meaningless" or "chase something other than money".
Simply inverting the lies we are constantly told is a remarkably powerful tool to restate any lie as a powerful truth and validate your own thoughts and beliefs. For example a recent set of Chevron ads declares "we agree" - no we don't- certainly not with Chevron, which as the owner of Texaco, instead of pumping $96 billion into the economy, pumped 96 Billion Gallons of Toxic waste into South America.
So, that's it, invert the lie into a declarative truth. This also frees you from the subliminal acceptance of the lies implicit in Not refuting them. You do not even have to know if it IS a lie, invert the statements, then notice how the inversion FEELS. For instance another recent bank ad urges us to "take a step forward" by using our "smart phones" to pay our "friends" for a meal by transferring money to their account, wirelessly. As if that were somehow "better" than handing them money ! As if passing them the filthy clumsy money was somehow indecent.
Well - it would be if you were trying to rid the world of currency, to replace it all with purely electronic funds. To insure there were no other or underground economies operating that you could not tax or fee or otherwise profit from or control.
So. "take back your missteps" "only dumb people use sly phones to send an electronic form of fake money in a fake economy and get charged hefty fees at each and every step of the way".
