Like what's the latest thing to be alarmed or afraid of.
May I suggest that unless these posters also include possible solutions
in their post,
that They are party to the problems they are posting about.
Really is it helpful ?
To just spead problems further ?
Honestly it's getting to be like watching the daily diaster reports that masquerade as news programs.
Now if you're honestly alarmed and hoping someone else has some ideas for addressing the issue -
please just ask for help in your post
Otherwise - if you can't say anthing nice . . .

Evolver's Difference

I have always thought that one of the founding/guiding principles of Evolver was to focus less on how messed up the world is and focus more on ways to create space and blueprint scaffolding for new ways of living during and after the collapse of all that's unsustainable today.
Many blogs on Evolver are simply working to raise awareness, and that can be good to if it's good info and the only intent of the bolg is to raise awareness. But yes, it would be good to see more blogs that talk about what could work and what is working.
Transition

You bring up a great point, but I think a lot of people are in a period of transition. They're in an "Oh shit!" phase and bringing up challenges and obstacles is a natural part of the process of awakening.
The Evolver community is still growing and in it's infancy. You're suggestion is a good one, but many times people are just trying to get their heads around the illusions that surround us and need an outlet to express their dismay. So let's try not to discourage people from voicing their concern. They need to bloom at their own pace. In our youth we tend to just vent, but as we age we begin to silence the part of our brain reacts first and begin to contemplate a problem quietly.
Overall, I'm really excited about the community that's developing here. Like a Bodhisattva helping others to reach enlightenment, we have within us the potential to awaken the masses to the true nature of things.

Yes, the intention behind this network is to process the darkness and corruption, but to alchemize it and come out with projects that serve as scaffolding for the emerging planetary culture. I'd say I am more concerned that there is a sizeable number of evolvers who post on a regular basis, nothing but alarming reports,
Almost always these are simply links to other online media & are written to make the reader afraid of one or more things, to make the reader feel disimpowered to do anything about the problem.
Yes, knowledge of what is wrong is nessecary, I can hope for more solutions or possible approaches to what is wrong that do not enfeeble all.
I am very encouraged that there are alot of concerned people & that there are multiple paths & perspectives being utilized in the face of a mass culture that is largely a trap and illusion.
Yet I've known this since the large manifestation occured in mid august 1969.
Why is it still true that those who actually know still are not talking ?
I guess I'm hoping for things to be more openly transformative, for more sharing of solutions to escaping the traps & illusions freely !
Aside to SKY - incarnation is always of value - regardless of your or anyone else's current perspective or comparisons - because any & all of us are always capable of much more !

you want the truth to be pretty, you want the truth
to make you feel good, you want the truth to be
a beautiful trip somewhere, you want the truth to be
non-offensive, you want truth that is politically
correct. SO FORGET IT! because the truth
is NOT ALLOWED. if anyone writes about the truth,
they will be removed from further posting. you can
only write about things that CONFORM to the petty
minds of those in control of the media.
SO FORGET IT! DON'T ASK FOR THE ANSWERS.
because they won't fit into peace & love paradigms,
anymore than peace & love will save a rabbit from
a wolf. no matter what you think, no matter where you
are, you are living in a dangerous world with predators.
just because we alter the scenery and change it from
trees to concrete, doesn't mean the jungle has disappeared.
and just because you have a microwave or Ipod doesn't mean
someone won't cut your throat on the way to work tomorrow.

Really there are a infinite number of truths. So none of them by themselves actually matter or are definitively true. We make our own truths. This isn't to say that there are no bad things in the world, or every things perfect, all that matters is love. What I'm pointing out is that both perspectives that of love, and the one you're discussing here are equally valid. Then we have to make a choice as individuals as to which "truths" we would like to participate in fir ourselves. Which truths lead to the highest quality of life for ourselves. Now any educated self reflecting thoughtful person will realize that a self centered truth where you ignore other people isn't the best one, but I'm not sure only worrying about things perceive as problems is a good one either.

2cb - it actually sounds like you're trapped in some bad illusions of false duality.
Just because I post poetry does not mean I can't see past the shadows cast by flawed minds .
Actually I have gone past "getting" negative single side views of a false duality.
I find it appalling that you think you know me enough to categorize, label & limit me according
to your flawed , nihilistic and foredoomed monocular perspective.
I've yet to find any "truth" that was actually transformative and useful for humans that is not , at base , in fact beautiful . It is beauty that empowers us , by serving as our connection to nature and the healthful energies inherent in all that lives.
By remaining fixated on externals ; what you do not like, what you do not want, what you do not have , you remain lost in creating and re-creating an un-sustainable world that only serves as a trap for you and others you ensnare in it to continue to complain and DO not a thing to change any thing.
In your dystopian view, it is everything outside of your self which is flawed and wrong and needs change, which you cannot achieve due to the flaw in your perceptions of how things are.
In reality only changing from within one's self is sustainable, all real change proceeds from the individual , as the externals merely reflect and follow one's inner perceptions.
Peace and Love DO fit if they are the default viewpoint of the individuals in the environment, so Peace and Love CAN save the rabbit if the wolf also sees the world that way. In short your parables are false due to false limits to the conditions of the individuals in their environment.
How convenient for your delusions that no one else can speak of truth, that you think there can be no truth with out accepting the inherently false system of dualities and polarities. What a horrible self deceiving self imprisoning trap of a false world view.
In my universe Alexander was released from the gulag where he wrote that nihilistic and depressing prose, was welcomed back into society with numerous literary and peace prizes.
You cannot speak to my heart if you cannot hear your own heart, if you cannot listen to your own inner self , then you cannot effect change in how you perceive and that's one of the few ways that anyone can affect anything external to their selves.
I hope you can liberate your self from the horrible trap-game you've convinced your self you have to continue playing. You really seem to have invested alot of time and energy in maintaining it's validity to your self.
Turn your vision around ! Look the Other way ! Perhaps you will be able to see the rest of us who have already escaped the boxes and blinders of the old paradigm
