I found this video on you tube, and he makes a really valid point inregards to enlightenment and dellusional self interest, spiritual evolution and taking responsibility for the world we are creating.
Sobering and clarifying words...
The beginning deals with what we first think is a UFO siting at mount Shasta then through uninteresting debunking of the photo a very poignant speach on awareness.

So True

This video says so well what I have always considered when dealing with a belief system that eludes to answer the unknown, define the undefinable as true reality.

What generally comes to mind when I self-question all aspects of that which I confront as a potential answer to my many questions about my reality and relation with all that is around me; what is the person who is rummaging through a garbage heap search for food, what is their mind consumed with? Are they trying to understand the universe, are we alone, is there an afterlife, etc., etc..? Probably not. The luxury that most of us even comparative poorer of us, have in expending our lives in search of these truths and beliefs.

The real humanity is they who struggle to survive while we expend ourselves searching for something to be believed.

I agree whole heartedly! I think that altered states of consciousness cN be worked with to find solutions for the problems of the world today, instead of escape...
