I really should not be surprised by yet another sensationalist and limited piece of journalism perpetuated by the mainstream media. Dominating the front pages and news headlines for days was the 'celebration' of Bin Ladens death. Along with the usual image of Jihad sponsored terrorism were copious images of people dancing in the streets cheering at the top of our voices about this 'achievement'.

I have taken the time to read some of the blogs posted on this interesting site, and a subject that keeps cropping up and continues to stay in my head is the subject of death and how it is something that should not be feared. I find it truelly remarkable as for me personally, it seems to be a gnawing fear I cannot seem to shake off as I really do not understand the concept.

Yes it's true and that is the main reason why compassion does not seem to be the forefront of how people approach life. What seems to sell is division through religion and geography. What sells is image through self esteem crushing ads and 'reality' tv through the oppressive tool we call the media which keeps people distracted and obsessed with such inane and trivial of issues.
