this generation is taking good steps forward. I'm from a little town in Louisiana called Gonzales. Most of the people or friends that I've grown up with are starting to realize that something is wrong with this country and aren't willing to conform to the way society set us out to be. I'm a strong believer of the planetary alignments and how they may in ways set the stage for cultures in the past and present. As i'm sure you may all know about Richard Tarnas and his books. One in particular is Cosmos and Psyche. I've only read little of this book and I found it fascinating that the planet alignments of the 30's and 60's contracted similar results of revolution. And every other alignment that occurs with Saturn, Uranus and Pluto from the past have brought about significant changes within culture. 2010 brings us the next alignment since the 60's. Already you see a mass of kids in our generation (18-22) who have a high interest in 60's philosophy..like we can relate to that time or something. There is a rise of young people, me being one, who go to festivals throughout the world. Festivals that want to bring about change or bring 3-4 days of peace to the world. For some reason I believe in this next year and decade there will be a major change in conciousness. A major change that will occur with a mass revolt from mainstream society. I mean jeez it's already starting. It has to grow and grow right? Also, Psychedelics have a rise among teens. I'm deffinatly an advocate for psychedelics. They help change the conciousness into a path that before you've never thought and i'm sure some of you have experienced this before my time and with me in my time. What I am getting at is that our generation, I believe, is the one. The ones who will actually bring change into the hearts of mainstream society. We can express ourselves more than ever before. We can have strong ideals that can shape this world into a better place for everyone.

to the tens

in the sixties they sent 18 year old males off to a fascist war.

in the tens? what then? why, they'll pawn your off your land to wars.

'back to the land' some of us resisters said, back in the sixties.

but who knows what ya got 'til it's gone.

i have a feelin

theres gonna be a lot of revolt. a lot of guitar playin in the streets. a lot of kids who are tired of the same ol' bullshit thats been stirring up more and more since vietnam. I know one thing though, I'm glad to see soldiers who are waking up and realizing that we're killing our brothers and not our enemies. Like a quote from a soldier in Iraq Veterans Against the War. " Our enemies are not in some foreign land, They're right here on our own soil." May this decade be filled with peace and happiness for everyone. May it be filled with conciousness expansion and evolution.

yes. i concur. i see the

yes.

i concur. i see the spark in so many young people, and once the fire is ignited there will be NO STOPPING IT. i'm sure something will happen and i cannot wait to be a part of all its unfolding.

as William Irwin Thompson puts it, there will be a catastrophic bifurcation.

choose your side...........

The Age of Aquarius

We all know the song, and we all know the generation. Lately there has been a lot of talk about the Age of Aquarius being ushered in in the sixties, but it needed to establish roots and grow before it eventually provides fruit and flowers...and that time is now.
Any radical new change has to be gestated before it can become its own. I look at the sixties as exactly that time. A gestation, giving us the knowledge, power, and knowledge OF power to do what needs to be done.
Peace Be to You, all my Sisters and Brothers !

Not just the young people!

I don't think it has anything to do with age or generation...I'm 35 and I'm feeling this thing growing and I'm seeing more and more people awakening.
Hopefully it crosses all generations and all races!
Peace!

yeah well like

I didn't just mean young people and particularly 35 is pretty young still man.
all kinds of people will be in revolt of course. I just hope it goes well this time around and actually stays around.

again.... the boomers retire.

just below the surface of our real and practical sense of knowing, of integrating, of sensing what is to come, is one thing that for sure is already underway.

the hippies of our PAST are alive and well.

when they retire, and set out to their third fourth and fifth careers, with better health and wealth and an inside track understanding of just what is wrong with the system they went to work in... when jobs did exist....
when they retire and put their leisure time to work, they will provide the ELDERS that today's enlightened, seeking youth, will have. elders the hippie set lacked.

i like the comment above about gestation of change.
the hippies gone yuppy was the gestation.

now, they will re emerge as elders.
viva mckenna.

befriend an elder. befriend a youth.
befriend a stranger.
befriend yourself.

tell us more about the astrological projections thru the 2010's n 20's...
