Barbelith Lives!!

We've been talking a lot on Evolver lately about something that we can all agree on. Well I think something that at least 99 percent of us can agree on is that there is some sort of “creator”. Now I don't necessarily mean god, it could be the Logos, the Collective Unconscious, The Matrix, any number of different things, I think most of us believe in something more, a higher power. I've started a project in the form of of a website regarding this “creator”.

The first “creator” I was exposed to in an experience where it had seemingly poked it's head in my little life was Barbelith. Barbelith comes from a comic book that Grant Morrison wrote called the Invisibles. In this comic book different characters hack into this “ultimate” reality through psychedelics, meditation, and various other techniques. Some of them in this higher reality encounter a thing known as Barbelith. Barbelith is the thing that thinks the universe into existence, that's pushing us towards higher evolution. Or any number of things.

I've started a website called: www.barbelithlives.com, and in this website I'm trying to point out places in popular culture that have been “obviously” affected by Barbelith's “agenda”. This idea was inspired by a character from the invisibles named Mason. Mason is a billionaire that is on the side of the “good guys” and he funds most of what they do. He also funds different movies, bands, and other forms of entertainment that are consciously aware and trying to open peoples eyes. Throughout the book he has a number of conversations with different people saying things like “that movie was totally made by “us” for such and such reasons.” What I want to do on www.BarbelithLives.com is point out different things in popular culture that were made by “us”. Things like the Matrix, but also things that aren't so obvious. I also want to leave room for creative interpretation on why things were made by us. A not well thought out example would be something like “The Hills was obviously made by us. Who else would want to portray such a disgusting idea of society such as that?” Like I said “not well thought out”, just an example.

I've written a little piece finally for the “Barbelith Is” section on the site and I will share it now:

Barbelith is the motivation behind that fish crawling out of the ocean. Barbelith was the thought that popped up in Adam and Eve's head that told them to fuck each other. Barbelith inspired Robert Oppenheimer to head up the Manhattan Project, and gave Albert Hoffman the dreams that bothered him into remaking LSD 25. From the first monkey that hunted with a rock, to the first monkey that accidentally made fire, Barbelith was there. Martin Luther King Jr.'s dreams were put there by Barbelith, and so was the idea in James Earl Ray's mind to shoot him. Barbelith has posed as Jesus, Satan, Thoth, Buddha, Ganesh, Shiva, Ra, Zeus, Muhammad and God. Barbelith is Jung's collective unconscious, Heraclitus' Logos, McKenna's insectoid voice, Philip K. Dick's VALIS, Wilhelm Reich's Orgone, and Grant Morrison's Barbelith. The Big Band was Barbelith's intellectual orgasm. The Universe is on this path of Evolution and it's being pushed there by Barbelith. Barbelith wants nothing more than EVOLUTION. Everything that has ever happened “bad”, or “good” has been thought out by Barbelith and intended to push us one step closer to the next Evolutionary step. Evolution is accelerating, you can see it everywhere. We are closer to seeing Barbelith than ever before. Everywhere you look there are signs of Barbelith. Barbelith Is........

I'm reaching out to a number of people for help with this project. For the “Barbelith Is” section I would love for people to right pieces on what the “creator” is for them, subbing the word “creator” for the word “Barbelith”. I also need people to write different pieces on why such and such band, or such and such movie was made by “Barbelith's Invisible Agents” in an attempt to speed up our evolution towards the next higher state of consciousness. The only things I ask is that it's not super serious, like not too dogmatic, or obvious that we are taking ourselves very seriously. And I would also like to ask that whatever it is that we happen to write is optimistic. The point of the site is to promote and create an alternative reality tunnel where everything is going according to Barbelith's plan and we are all moving closer and closer towards this evolutionary jump in consciousness and Barbelith is pushing us there, but again not super serious or overly dogmatic.
