A world where everyone is on LSD

This is a fucked up world we have been living in this past five years. Some fucking secret group broke into all the water, soda, beer, juice; pretty much every beverage factory in the planet and filled everything with acid. They had different branches of their group to go in and take over. Set up stations all over the world, insert themselves into power. Who would have thought a bunch of acid heads would have been so organized. It all started with all the 2012 hype; moving into a new state of consciousness as a society, as a world. So when everyone all started trippin’ at the same time at first everyone started freaking out. Then they “realized” that this was the next step in evolution. No one had stopped to think it was a sham; that we had been duped. All these acid heads decided that they were going to give us a shove in that direction whether 2012 was going to or not. The first few months were complete chaos. Can you imagine everyone on the planet all on acid 24/7? It wasn’t a pretty picture. By the time people started to have some idea of what was going on it was too late. No one was producing anything else to drink or working water plants except the people that did this. “Caused the next evolutionary step”. Suicide surpassed war as cause of death. All kinds of crazy shit happened worldwide. People started going and living in art museums. I chose to do it myself. There aren’t any cops or government at all anymore. This is our world, our next step of “evolution”; a world full of acid heads.
My name is Chainsaw McCloud. No that wasn’t my “real” name; the one my parents gave me, but I doesn’t matter anymore. There aren’t any records of anything anymore. We all just pretty much make up our names. Sometimes we decide to just change our name when we wake up; if we actually managed to get some sleep. Not much really matters anymore, other than getting food. When you’re on acid everything gets a lot more entertaining. You could spend the day watching the rain on windows, sitting in a river, waiting for the sunset or sunrise while you just think about it. But unfortunately a lot of things get harder as well. Do you know how intense hunting is? We have to hunt now. No one is crazy enough to work in a slaughter house on acid. Anyone that was in a specialized field is pretty much the only one in it now. It’s pretty hard to learn programming or any kind of engineering while on acid. Shop accidents are another epidemic; almost as bad as suicide. Mechanics are pretty hard to come by also. The most popular sports aren’t contact anymore. Getting tackled isn’t a whole lot of fun on acid. Doing anything other than dunking a basketball is quite a feat as well; or a simple five yard pass; hitting a baseball pitch; not gonna happen. Chess is the most popular sport now; if you could even call that a sport. Organized religion has completely collapsed. Everyone practices the occult now; spends all day meditating or doing magic rituals. Everything has been defaced, painted on. Paint is one of the hardest things to get your hands on, except for food. The educational system is pretty much nonexistent; no one wants to sit in class all day, or teach it. There aren’t any army’s left in the world. The world is in chaos, life is just pure chaos now, pure chaos.
Things aren’t all bad though. There are things that no longer happen anymore. Nationalism is a thing of the past. You can’t have nationalism if we don’t have governments. People just see people as other people now. Racism and sexism are also things of the past. In the beginning there was still a problem with crime; but that too has pretty much vanished. A lot of people couldn’t stand the idea of causing others harm; when you are on acid everything is very personal. If someone was to beat up, rape, or kill someone; everyone would rally behind the victim. People policed themselves; which was good because there is no longer a police force. Violence seems to be mostly a thing of the past. After 6 months of everyone being an acid all day the people with violent tendencies took care of each other, or themselves. There is no active currency anymore. People just share everything. Everyone is too amazed, entertained and spaced out to be selfish now. LSD pushes everyone to the extreme of their natural disposition. I think at heart most people are kind, caring human beings. The only reason it didn’t seem that way before the “jump” was that everyone was wrapped up in capitalism’s survival of the fittest philosophy; so they had to do it. Like I previously stated; the people that weren’t kind at heart eventually took care of each other, or themselves. This is the interesting chaotic world that my associates and I helped create. That’s right I was part of this I knew it was coming the reason I’m telling this story now is because I struggle with something every day. Is what we did right? Are we better off now than we were before? Is living in a world of chaos, taking care of ourselves, never knowing what will happen next; better than what we had before?
