Time Vortex

Does anyone else find that time is going by REALLY, REALLY fast?? I started noticing time accelerating when I was roughly 10 or 12. For years I became increasingly conscious of this acceleration. At a certain point it started to cause me distress. Today, while I have given up worrying about it, I feel like I wake up and the day is over. Years feel like a month of my child hood.

Poetry: Ballad of Chrysalis

I'm a rock a fella catterpilla crapitalist
new world alchemist
call me chrysalis 'cause
I spin current sea cacoons round spiritual wounds in subconscious wombs.
Economystic soloistic sticks with this sick ecclectic poetic picnic
tick-tick-tick
time flies when you're baking a phi-pie in the sky
But not-sees who can not see freely try to
crucify me and blind my third eye butterfly

About Me

Bio

I am currently steeped in several projects around sustainable economic development particularly around "complementary currency" innovations. I worked for the E.F. Schumacher Society for several years organizing conferences and events. I was also a founding board member of the relatively famous "Berkshares." I was also on the planning committee for a major conference called "The Economics of Peace" that took place October 18-23, 2009 in Sonoma County, CA where Daniel Spoke.

I leed two parralell lives which seem to mirror a similar "paradox" in much of the content of Evolver, which I suppose is part of what has attracted me to this community. On the one hand I'm deeply interested in mysticism, esoteric knowledge, mythology, and discovering the hidden meaning in our crumbling world. I am also very interested in the "practical" work of building new systems, the more "outer" frameworks that may help define the new world. Hence, my interested in complementary currencies. However, my introduction into complementary currencies came from my meeting Michael Murphy (http://revelation2seven.wordpress.com) who introduced me to what amounted to 30 years of gnostic inquiry into the Tree of Life as it has shaped and sculpted the last 6000 years of human "ascent" (descent). While a piece of my heart has remained faithful to that work, my day to day work has remained devoted to this seemingly impossibly mission to transform money. Recently I have been experiencing more and more dissidence between the two and have been forced to ask my self, "did I go to far astray from the mystic path and into the more 'worldly' work of building new systems of exchange." In my exploration of Evolver I notice the a similar somewhat paradoxical coexistence of interests. I say paradoxical because to the hard core mystic and spiritual adept, creating new systems of money may seem somewhat profane. But what led me to that work was actually a conversation with Mike back in 2002 about the diabolical nature of the modern monetary system which he explained to me in depth over the course of a several days if not weeks. Anyway, I find that lately, I am feeling more drawn towards the continuation and commitment to exploring those esoteric and gnostic roots. While I don't expect that will cancel out my other projects, I think I will certainly try to hold more true to those inner esoteric truths. I have been witholding alot of insight that I gained from Mike and insight that has organically risen with in me over the last 12 years. While this insight has little to do with the direct experience of absolute truth in an experiential sense, never-the-less, it wants to be known, and I am feeling that the longer it is hidden, the more it eats at me.
I look forward to making greater contributions to this community in the future.

I am also currently involved in setting up a visionary IT company called Imaginal IT that will help emerging networks and organizations reach their potential. It is my believe that the internet is part of the evolution of humanity--it is allowing for us to come together as a planetary intelligence. This belief has led me to engage in nurturing these tools and helping apply them in the most pain free way possible. While I aim to provide this as a service, I cannot deny that I am still a student and continue learning what is out there which seems to be growing faster than any one individual can keep up with.

Skills and talents
I have some generally dormant skills in drawing and painting. I'm also a pretty damn good skier and snow boarder. I grew up riding horses and playing soccer. I like to cook, particularly gourmet omelets. I have dabbled around with Xi Gong, Wind Surfing, guitar, Tae Kwon Do, permaculture and home gardening.
