The legacy of a poets life,
with out a glance take a chance for what you know is rite,
if you seen an opportunity you hold it tight,
Life was a struggle till you got the chance to hold the light.

On a corner in the city I see people trying to make a life,
Setting mistakes aside to move on and take a stride, '
While bums in the gutter lie awake deprived,
They ache inside, hoping with hands out,
Hoping to catch a break in time, I can see it in there eyes,
When it comes to life, They only want a taste of mine,
Society will never be a great design, and I'm feeling like a faded line,

With out sight it seams clear that tomorrow brings fear,
To forget, you drink beer, Raise a toast,
Hear, Hear, To another day same as the last,
And steer clear from the right path, paved by slaves,
To sign casts of a soul broken,Words spoken from a book that folds open,
Read the passage in the rain while your cold soaking,
Dreaming of a gold token, That you never got,
