This came to my a few years back in a high writing session. I'm pretty proud of it so I'd like to share it. A lot of people ask questions that have no answer, so just in case you ask "why?" and get lost in the seemingly unknowable mystery, I think this can help you out. Before I get into it, realize how powerful the answer of how can be, there's a lot of things we still don't scientifically know how about, and I believe the answers to these hows can blend and will eventually merge science and spirituality.

Keep in mind also during these high states of mind that thought processes are extremely focused on the present. As time awareness increases, the moments that move by quickly in "sobereality" are slowed down. Because of this, thoughts that move by in small increments are enlarged and are made more.. observable. As a side effect, thoughts are less tangible as the moments pass, therefore writing down the insights immediately is of upmost importance. Using different colored markers for different thoughts helps ease the transitions of understandings for whenever it is you look over what it was you were observing.

During the meditation, this insight came to me, as pictured above. Just incase you can't read my quick scribbling, I will write the words out in a better explained way. Basically it is an argument whose "premise" is it's own "conclusion". After I wrote it I realized this was an insight whose idea was 100% translated from high understanding into written language and it further sent me into perception of what I consider fourth dimensional, as seen on the page also.

This is it.. (its best to imagine as a conversation between two people) also.. [the brackets are unwritten words that I perhaps would have written if I wasn't in the state of mind where thoughts come and go so easily, but it is exactly the same understanding]

"Ask How [instead of why]"

"[Why is that?]"

"Because why leads to second, or more questioning"

"[How?]

"[That is how! Through your own natural curiosity of this conversation, you first asked why, which then lead you to the deeper and more significant questioning of how, which you figured could lead you closer to the truth, and it did]"

I believe the significance of this insight is that the question of why can only answer why we people should be doing things. Why is inherently tied to purpose. Why did you commit the act of doing to bring about this intentional, purposeful result? Well.. I was hungry that's why I ate this spaghetti. How I ate was with a fork but thats not the question you asked, you were asking about my purpose. (and of course no one would care about the fork)...

My concern here is I think a lot of the population personifies the universe. They ask, "Why are we here?" "Why me?" It all implies a purposeful act. Which all implied God as a being which does things. It's cliche to hear, "I don't understand why God did this to me." To me, this is a personification of the universe, and has no answer. It is along the same lines as believing that Zeus throws down thunderbolts. "Damn you Poseidon for destroying my fishing boat!"

"Why," for anything beyond what you are doing, or other sentient acting animals, etc. are doing is an unanswerable question in my opinion. No one ever asks the moon why it is going around the earth. But there are amazing beautiful intricate reasons of how. There is no reason why.

But here's the more important point... There is a reason how for everything else in the universe beyond why you make your decisions. And maybe determinism means that our decisions are even a how as well, but I like the idea of free will, and that topic doesn't matter for this blog. The reasons for how the universe works in every exact detail compared to how much we scientifically know right now, is obviously very different. But like I said I think using entheogenic technology among other things we can understand how great people like Jesus, Buddha, etc, have understood the universe. That is what I think it will have to take to change the world entirely. People must accept science, or else remain ignorant and out of date. They must believe in the best understanding of objective truth beyond their traditional or cultural differences that may divide them currently. The hows of the universe can explain how things are attracted into our lives, how we can live to our potential, how we can live in peace, how maybe anything is possible, which is extremely spiritual. How is reality structured, with it's dimensionality beyond the scope of our normal perceptions?? That's where we are headed in spiritual and scientific evolution... Why is just a dead end in my opinion, a yielding to an unanswerable mystery, that actually shouldn't be worshiped for its impossible understanding, but instead, should be sought out to be understood to the best of our ability. But I tell traditional religious people I believe in God, I just have a more specific definition.. though God is love, is a pretty good one. I like to think Abraham's Yahweh or "I am" was his spiritual universal self realization, like Descartes "I think, therefore I am" But I am no ancient hebrew scholar, its just an intuitive guess.

My girlfriend had a good question. "Isn't how come the same as why?" I think "how come" is just a semantics thing that could go either way. "How come you threw that snowball?" "How come the leaves fall in the winter?" Semantics.

Peace, I hope you enjoyed. I would love for christians and atheists to discuss this blog because I think it resolves a lot of their miscommunications... that would be cool if we could somehow link those social networks as sister networks into this one, that would be unifying for sure.

two more things

Another example of this could be...

Why I have an umbrella: I don't want to get wet from rain. How it is raining: the water cycle

The water-cycle > avoiding wetness (greater in the sense of more foundational info)

Also my roommate and I were talking and we came to the conclusion that "Why" is how we should be functioning, and "How" is what we should be understanding.

I just realized reading that, one example would be how we are functioning in the why

Isn't why come the same as how?

How are you?

Why are you?
