Tripping into history (possibility of past lives)

I've had no experience with it. Have you?
I have heard of stories of people smoking salvia and effectively "tripping into history". Heard those? I think that's interesting. Going back into the back seat of some 1930s car, or walking through some ancient european castle.
Past lives...
I do like analyzing where I've come from. Thinking of it scientifically, I think wow, although I recognize myself as a single being, I actually at some point existed separately as a sperm and an egg. And those cells went through various reproductions in meiosis to become what they were.
Then we think of awareness. Is consciousness something that come into our being after we were conceived? Or are our sperm cells and egg cells conscious? It seems like the must be. The sperm cell must find its way. I feel like every one of my cells are conscious. I'm not conscious of their consciousness, but I actually did have an experience once where I became my inner ear hair cells, so my consciousness shifted from a macro to a micro level depending on my focus. I was focusing on sound.
Consciousness... mine is different than yours apparently. Or is it?
Could it be we all have each others past lives?
It doesn't make sense to me how we would have individual strings of past lives. But that is what people talk about. I've never experienced it. Have you?

I would suggest you seek out a christian that can "discern spirits", those that cast out demons or a Buddhist monk. Both will of course have differing ideas about it.

I've read about "group souls" on NewAge sites. I'm sure they can be found elsewhere in ancient literature but I never have looked.
as for salvia, I once had a vision of a desolate icy arctic scene. It didn't specifically feel like a past life.
I have had quite a few flashbacks while completely sober though. Once I had bad diarrhea and I was suddenly vividly visualizing / embodying a woman with dysentary on possibly the Oregon trail or some other type of wagon excursion.
once i was cooking in the kitchen and I suddenly visualized a scene of a Roman war zone and smelled really bad body odor. There was nothing in my house that could've emitted that odor....
I also find myself able to remember "skills" that I never really learned in this life. Call it intuition or quick learning? if you read up on "higher chakras" i.e. 12 -14 they apparently contain the things you've learned in past lives. Apparently we are also here in this present life to clear some of the trauma and energetic blockages from past lives... who knows....
