Demons and devils and fearsome beasts: these are things that we avoid. We are aversive because it is the attachment to our fears that strengthens the ego. We can not let go of the self when we actively keep ourselves from something that we say we are not. Fears are nothing more than valuable lessons we have yet to learn.

A clear night, full moon above; but around me, a dark fog. Unable to see properly, I lit the Peruvian Torch. My eyes dilated under it's illumination, helped me to see. There was a miasma all around me, a mist as black as pitch. It was a soft field, comprised of externalized thoughts. I must be sick.

It happened recently and suddenly. I was in a void, seemingly bodiless. And I came upon a great wall before me. It was gray and blurry. My peripheral vision extended as far as my forward vision. And I could see as far to one side, to the other, that this wall extended as far as I could see. Moving forward, I entered into a point in this miasmatic wall.

I had a vision, or an experience. Everything was happening at the same time, all at once. Now, I've always known this, but everytime I experience it, I can not put it into words.

Sometimes people are in moments of ecstasy, Mystical experiences, described as Enlightenment. But, the connection is severed and they come down to their usual state of awareness. And because it was a temporary state, often times they are discouraged by their assumptions that 'true' Enlightenment is everlasting, permanent.
