Whats really going on here?

I wasn't going to post anything today but I changed my mind because I got all worked up and need an outlet, so your it. This world is full of ideas and philosophies. Which is a good thing, diversity and all that. But how do you know whats right and whats wrong. How do you decipher the bull from the truth. I'm not just talking about religion, I'm talking about everything from how you should live to how you should raise your children or I guess I am talking about religion. Because what I'm crunching my brain cells about is what the hell are we? What is this? Where is this going? Is 2012 the end of the world, I don't think so but whose to say I'm right? Whose to say anyone is. Is reality a dream space, a simulation? Is it the proving grounds for another world in another dimension, another universe? Are we children being raised up to be gods, or higher conciousness? Are we all one and the same or are we individuals? And I know, I've heard all the theories, I've heard all the proof and everyone has something to say about it. Whose right? Is there a right answer? Is there a heaven? A hell? I have to say I have turned my back on conventional religion and am pretty closed minded on any attempts to sway me back. But I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything. I'm not even trying to decipher the massive tangled mess that is human belief. Who can? I'm simply noting the fact that it exsists. We all think differently, believe differently. One could spend a life time, and many do, trying to figure out the greatest mystery of all, at least in my opinion. What the hell is really going on here anyway? I want to know. I feel that is one of my driving forces on this planet. I want to figure things out. I want to know. They say ignorance is bliss, I say screw that I want to fricken know. Maybe I'll regret it later, but still. I'm begining to carve out somekind of an explanation. You know there isn't a manual for this place. I wish we concentrated on things of this nature as a collective whole as much as we do celebrities bowel movements or irrevelvant crap like that. It's hard for me to censor myself on this site, I like profanity. I use profanity as a puncuation you know. Crap becomes Shite and the meaning is now stronger. But I'm gonna follow the rules. I like this site so I'd like to stick around for a while. I'm off topic.
Anyway that's something I would like to see. All this media we have, all this comunication. I mean we can broadcast a single unified message around the world simultaniously, that's amazing. I just think we underachieve. We have more potential than what we show. Lets answer the big questions. Let's answer the important ones. Who gives a frick about Brittany Spears and her baby. Leave that poor woman alone. Or better yet more recently David Letterman and Sarah Palins little fued. Screw Palin she's a tool. And Lettermen is a talk show host. He takes cheap shots at celebrity figures for a living. It's gonna happen. Let's broadcast something that means something. Something that betters us as a race. I'm tired of watching ABC news or all of them for that matter because they pick and choose the most irrelevant bull there is and completely ignore serious subjects that if given enough attention and support could seriously improve our lot on this planet. Thats what I think at least. Wow this blog has no focus does it. Sorry, my mind wanders from point to point. Ok I'm done.

Knowing that you don't know is good!
One of my favorite places to go when I'm feeling like the world is full of idiots is realitysandwich.com ;)
I must say I agree
I think you touch on an interesting point- there is so much that we as a somewhat advanced, technologically driven society COULD and SHOULD be doing with our energies besides what celebrities are up to. There are entirely more important questions to be asking and attempting to answer; especially considering the unknowns of 2012 and the rapidly downturning of resources vs. planetary population. What are we to do? You are right to start with questions. I wish you luck; you remind me a lot of myself upon my existential realizations a few years ago. I will say that maybe it's not so important that we are correct in believing where or what we came from, rather, the importance comes with what we do in the here and now for everyone's future. Good luck,
-Brad-
