Daniel, Synchronicity and Me

I ended up at Evolver after a string of events that started with me being drawn in a most peculiar way to buying 2012 The Return of Quetzalcoatl by Daniel Pinchbeck. The synchronicity between the book and my life while reading it was amazing.

I decided to look at my first blog today on Evolver. Its by Jonathan, my first friend and this is the first comment underneath..”In December, I read Pinchbeck's 2012 (after being led to it by some synchronicity) “.

I check out the blog by the person who made the comment and find that other people have had the same experience and Daniel Pinchbeck comments on experiencing tons of synchronicity while writing it.

What energy does this book carry? Is it a mindset vibration? Do reader and writer resonate through the book?

2012 was screaming at me from the shelves of every bookshop I visited until I bought it. It was just after my father died. Exactly like Daniel says about his own father he had died alone in the bathroom of his apartment. “The exact date of his death could not be determined - but it was likely he died during the night”. Wow! Daniel is writing my story!

The book moves to the subject of quantum physics.  I have always been the type of person who had to understand everything.  Not understanding made me anxious and full of questions. However, somehow, with quantum physics the moment I heard about  it I felt that, even though I did not really understand the maths, I was looking at the answers to everything. In fact people who could do the sums were coming up with results and information that made sense to my soul. I am drawn to the subject like a moth to a flame. They say that 'cleanliness is next to godliness'?  Well I just have this sneaky feeling that we will find out,after years of science and religion clashing, that 'science is next to godliness'.

I toy with the idea of visiting Stonehenge for my birthday. I fancy seeing a crop circle for myself. I wonder if my birthday would be a good time to see one. I have no idea that I am about to start a chapter on crop circles but I suppose I should have guessed! Two crop circles are mentioned that were made on August 12th and 14th.  My birthday is August 13th. So it looks like I may have picked the best time of the summer to visit.

I read on.  On Thursday night I awoke with a start, an old phone I had got from my father started to hiss for no apparent reason but while it was creepy it did me the favour of waking me from a nightmare.  I woke J  but  he said he was in fact glad to be awake as he had been having a nightmare.  When he told me his dream I nearly fell out of the bed. It was the same as mine!!  We were both shook enough by this to put on the TV (at 3.30 am) to change the atmosphere.  That’s saying something for him as he is usually unflappable.  The following Sat night I read the passage about Daniel and his partner sharing a dream while in Kassel.

Soon instead of wondering why Daniel had not mentioned Dzogchen, I just wondered when he would mention it!  Only two or three pages later...lo and behold! I get it now! A magic book! So I just go with the flow. I ask the questions and the book steers itself down that path of inquiry - right to the end.

So what is it? Well perhaps you don't just read this book. Perhaps you almost plug into it.

All I know is that when it finished I wanted more. Selfishly I wanted a magic resource that would automatically know what I wanted information on and give it to me. I expected it, of Daniel specifically, a man I don’t even know though in keeping with it all we share a name.
Some people would have told me to stop wishing for such a thing but I couldn’t......and along came Reality Sandwich!
