Dreamers and Stalkers of the Nagual

Here is a method for determining if somebody is a "dreamer" or a "hunter" ("stalker"), according to Carlos Castaneda's classification, in a simple and systematic way.

Before I begin, I'd like to point out that this method is only as accurate as a person knows themselves. This is not one of those psychological questionnaires that figure out what you really meant, so, what you answer is what you get.

Firstly, whether somebody is a dreamer or a hunter is tied to the sex of their core self, regardless of what sex their body is, so if somebody is gay, they will have to factor that into the result with the first question:

1. What is your sex? If you are gay, just give the opposite sex as your answer, then you are ready for part two.

There are many ways to ask the second, more complicated question, and I will provide all the alternative questions in the future.

2. When speaking as an "authority," especially when providing objective criticism, and regardless of what the other person might want, do feel more comfortable as the center of attention, or would you need to speak

privately with the person to act more like yourself? One person will let the whole world know when things need to be put right, but the other will not.

When we combine your answer with what sex you are, we can tell if you are a dreamer or a hunter. Here are the answer combinations:

1. A male who speaks with loud authority is a stalker.
2. A female who speaks with quiet authority is a stalker.
3. A male who speaks with quiet authority is a dreamer.
4. A female who speaks with loud authority is a dreamer.

As a stalker one would stalk. As a seer one "sees" and as a dreamer one would have a dreaming body. The gift to the stalker is time compression. The mastery of time. For the "seer" the gift is second sight and for the dreamer the control of ones dreams. As a stalker and or a nagual one is a master of perception so you can never tell actually what they are presenting for sure. LOL The person of knowledge has all three gifts and the nagual is one of knowledge that leads others.

Both male and female Nagualist should be treated with the utmost respect. :)

A word about stalking

The term stalking might for some create numerous negative images and has been used by Nagualism's critics in various defamatory ways to blast Nagualism. The stalker first stalks him/her self. This is done to minimize self importance; to make ones life more efficient; to remove in some instances negative charter defects, among others. Secondly and most importantly, the Stalker stalks Power, he/she hunts it as one would game, plants or a bargain at the grocery store. We all stalk all sorts of things. These activities prepare one to become a person of knowledge. a person of knowledge after years in development (more likely decades in development) might decide to become the leader of a group of Naguals, also called a Nagual. He would seek people with special abilities those that can store Power. Not just anyone will do. These are special people. In the process of recruiting them manipulations might be used but at some point the apprentice is told of the methods used to persuade them and is asked to decide whether they wish to become apprentices or not. At any time they may leave the apprenticeship should they decide to stay. Naguals never retain anyone against there will. Nagualism is not a cult. At no time should Nagualism be used to stalk anyone for romantic reasons. Within a band of Warriors to sexually stalk a member of the Naguals group is considered very wrong similar to priests having sex with nuns. Undoubtedly Nagualism's detractors will continue to hit Naguals over the head because of the way it sounds, this is unfortunate choice of terms.
