Om Brzee Nama!

This is the first installment of pictures that we took at the end of a week and a half-long Mural Marathon. Meredith and I completed five walls, they were 8' x 23', in a graduate dorm building at Rutgers University, Camden. We completed these murals while preparing for our move to Boulder, Colorado. So between packing, moving and these murals it took us a month or so to recover from this project, I think I am still recovering. It was an amazing journey and definitely an endurance test. I never painted this much, in such a short time, throughout my mural making adventures. Meredith and I like pushing ourselves and each other and we are grateful for this experience. Each wall is a similar scene, a lotus pond with the Ben Franklin Bridge in the background. The lotus flower that is in the center of each wall, blossoms in succession as you go up each floor. While we were painting we saw frowns turn upside down and people were really psyched on the design and painting. One girl, who lived there, told us that it completely made here WEEK and another girl brought us waters, to make sure we were properly hydrated. Everyone seem to really like them, we didn't receive one complaint, which is rare amongst college kids living in a dorm. If anyone questions the power of a mural to completely transform an environment and bring the Life Force back into the people who view them, have them contact me.

Om Eim Saraswatyei Swaha!

Peace Profound
