I've been having a feeling lately... that maybe oil is more than just a fossil fuel. It may be the lifeblood of the planet.

Maybe oil is the insulation or lubrication of the planet, The planet is getting warmer, Maybe it is because of omissions, maybe its because oil dissipated the heat from the core of the planet.

This article states that the number of earthquakes have risen : http://www.earth.webecs.co.uk/

Oil as we all know is a liquid, liquids act in different ways than a solid does. Take a baseball bat and a block of wood. You may be able to break that block of wood with the baseball bat when you swing it through the air. Now take that piece of wood and station it in a pool of water. you must swing the baseball bat through the water prior to hitting the wood. You are probably unlikely to be able to break the piece of wood.

I know we have been having a higher frequency of earthquakes. I think the magnitude may have risen as well. I do not have the data of this though.

If this is true its all the more reason of why humanity should not utilize oil as our primary resource.

"Seek not abroad, turn back into thyself, for in the inner man dwells the truth..."

Yes !

I have often thought this myself. But don't worry, the earth is about to shake things up to insure it's own survival. It is our survival that we must truly worry about.

Proactivity

thats why we need to be proactive in changing how we do things. I'd much rather everything we use be made local and have no vehicles. However here it would be very very difficult, because we get snow and cold temperatures .
