[[ Digital Mechanics and Virtual Reality ]]
Since the publication of Finite Nature and A New Cosmogony in 1992 by Edward Fredkin (Department of Physics Boston University), the field of thought and discourse regarding Digital Mechanics (DM), which by some authors is also referred to as Virtual Reality theory (VR), has been accumulating momentum in the scientific literature due to its stunningly effective position to answer many of the longstanding problems in Quantum Mechanics (QM); examples of which are particle-wave duality, QED, entanglement. DM also aptly addresses Cosmology, and more recently Mind or Consciousness (otherwise known as: Serious Business). To summarize spacetime, electromagnetism, strong force, weak force, gravity, light, baby ducks, Kyoto, Banksy, the Himalayas, kisses, turntables, your favorite song, everything in physical reality is digital, binary, quanta of information—bits. Information bits, that are computed from Other; a super-system reality to our sub-system physical objective reality (OR). A higher order of magnitude, if you will. A Larger Reality. [3][13]
DM/VR theorist PhD Brian Whitworth (Institute of Information and Mathematical Sciences Massey University; which you are not) in his two papers, "The Physical World as a Virtual Reality" and "…Part II: Simulating Space and Time," Whitworth lays out “a prima facie case that the weirdness of modern physics is best explained by the physical world as a virtual reality (VR) rather than an objective reality (OR)”[2]. Word.
Whitworth uses a familiar analogy: “Modern online games show that information processing can create virtual “worlds”, with their own time, space, entities and objects, e.g. “The Sims”. However that our physical world is a virtual reality (VR) is normally considered a topic of science fiction, religion or philosophy, not a theory of physics. Yet the reader is asked to keep an open mind, as one should at least consider a theory before rejecting it.” [1]
Furthermore, “VR theory is only on the table because objective reality theory doesn’t explain modern physics. In an objective reality time does not dilate, space doesn’t bend, objects don’t teleport and universes don’t pop into existence from nowhere. We would not doubt the world’s objective reality if only it behaved so physically, but it does not. Adjectives like “strange”, “spooky” and “weird” apply, and common sense concepts like object, location, existence, time and space simply don’t work. The world of modern physics doesn’t behave at all as an objective reality should.” [2] Are you receiving this? Please continue…re-read if unsure and the continue.
Fredkin and Whitworth’s conclusions are not isolated incidents (I know, I know, I'm sorry but they aren't). To make this whole weirdness appear more legit, a few names in DM and/or VR field (call it what you will…) are Stephen Wolfram, Juergen Schmidhuber, Edwin Jaynes, Nick Bostrom, Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker, Paola Zizzi, Konrad Zuse, Seth Lloyd, David Deutsch, Max Tegmark, Bernard d'Espagnat, and Frank Wilczek. The DM/VR field is not short on PhD company for good cause. Despite the likelihood that the newcomer may find the DM/VR theory odd, hackers (hell, my entire generation) probably won’t. We seem naturally inclined to be curious or suspicious of the authenticity of any given situation (thanks to the Bush Administration and American Idol voting frauds). We are deception conscious ministration) in that sense and also data friendly (the Internet is in our baggy pockets). The fact remains that DM/VR theory better explains the observable phenomena we refer to as physics/reality—see the published work of the above authors for examples. If you need a suggestion, try the mentioned works by Whitworth[1][2]. Or you might wanna give Are You Living in a Computer Simulation by Nick Bostrom (PhD at Department of Philosophy, Oxford University) a roll in zee hey: “…we are almost certainly living in a computer simulation” [4]. Again, word.
[[ Getting to OTHER ]]
Fredkin’s "A New Cosmogony" suggests that reality is best explained as an evolutionary process/system branch that is computed from a super-system outside of physical reality, which is referred to as Other [13]. This isn’t too far fetched considering the standard Big Bang miracle physics, which is more-or-less: everything appeared at once from no where for the hell of it. It was assumed, or not even considered, that even if Other is a higher-dimensional, nonphysical, evolutionary computational processing reality system (inhale) that is running simulations of multiple virtual realities of various physical rule-sets (inhale), the data-stream (experience) of these other virtual realities are not available to us. In other words, one is restricted to the physical matter reality one was dealt. However, this is not the case. Bum bum baaaaaaa..........
At a lecture given at the London School of Economics in 2008, NASA/DoD physicist and consciousness pioneer Thomas Campbell bluntly stated, “I’ve been there.”[14] On a radio interview Campbell said, “I’ve been lots and lots of places. There are lots of different physical realities. This is just one.” [18] Campbell states that he has experienced virtual realities of various physical constraint architectures—some like this one, some not, all of which were accessed via his individual conscious awareness (AND SO CAN YOU!). The experience of being, interacting, and observing these other virtual realities is reportedly as real as engaging this VR. [10][12]
[[ Consciousness is NONLOCAL ]]
Since the Seventies the Western scientific world has been faced with the problem that consciousness is demonstrably nonlocal. Nonlocal is a term used to describe events that occur beyond c, the speed-of-light (the maximum speed of time). It turns out some events don’t just go beyond the speed-of-light but rather the instantaneous transmission of energy/matter has been observed: particles appearing, disappearing, teleporting, entanglement, etc. These are all nonlocal features of our physical objective reality—and they really, really happen. The observation of these events suggests that spacetime and the physics thereof are not always relevant to a given situation. Einstein referred to it as “Spooky action at a distance.”
The ability called “remote-viewing” (RV) was researched by PhD physicist Hal Puthoff and Russell Targ at the Stamford Research Institute from 1972-1985 with funding and oversight by United States military intelligence agencies. [9] Once it was established that Ingo Swann, Pat Price, and many others repeatedly proved that one could learn to become competent in describing objects and events outside of the constraints of physical spacetime, they proved, ipso facto, that consciousness is nonlocal [6][7][8][9][10] (is that enough citations for you?). Intelligence agents would often retire to an eight-martini result: “…an intelligence community in-house term for remote viewing data so good that it cracks everyone’s realities. So they have to go out and drink eight martinis to recover.”[15]
Since the nonlocal phenomenon of consciousness was at the time unexplainable (no complete model of reality was able to strongly account for it) RV remained a fringe, unexamined, or ignored phenomenon and was often refused by fundamentalist non-scientists and fundamentalist scientists alike (scientist Willis Harman famously retorted when first presented with Puthoff and Targ’s RV data, “I wouldn’t believe it even if it were true!” However, Harman went on to embrace and exalt the RV data writing several books on its implications)[15]. Despite the thousands of pages of declassified documents, millions of dollars in government spending from multiple departments, and decades of research, no one seemed capable of incorporating the data into a reality model.
It seemed only a unified-theory; an overarching Theory of Everything (TOE), could include such odd data as well as all the previously noted phenomena of all objective reality science (everything ever). No such work seemed remotely promising or possible. That was the case until Thomas Campbell published his meta-theory My Big TOE: A Trilogy Unifying Philosophy, Physics, and Metaphysics.
[[ Thomas Campbell’s Big TOE ]]
Campbell’s Big TOE “Better explains the objective data,” (referring to all available data regarding reality/physics) as well as the subjective data “the nonphysical—the origins, existence, purpose, mechanics of the nonphysical, paranormal, mind, consciousness, metaphysics, philosophy, and even theology. I know that sounds strange but that is the way it is.”[12] In a way, this is the theory scientists have been working towards since there emerged the first curious, probing index finger.
[[ Physical Matter Reality, Nonphysical Matter Reality, and the Reality Wide Web
“Physical reality is best modeled as a virtual digital reality. That’s how it’s modeled in My Big TOE. And consciousness is best modeled as a digital information system.” (Emphasis added) [12] Reality is information or data and consciousness is the data apprehending/organizing system.
In reverse order, we have:
Physical Matter Reality (PMR): the physical, matter, energy, spacetime, earth, the visible universe, “objective” reality.
Nonphysical Matter Reality (NPMR): Other, the larger reality, consciousness, the subjective, mind, the paranormal (“Once in NPMR, the fun began.” p 80)
Plus more reality, the addition of the Reality Wide Web (RWW): the network where all sentient entities or Individuated Units of Consciousness (IUOC) are connected. All IUOC’s are free will-wielding, units of a larger consciousness system, that have been constrained to a certain decision space (in PMR and NPMR) which is based on their individual consciousness’s overall system entropy. “…our minds are chips off the old block so to speak and thus able to communicate over the Reality Wide Web (the RWW constitutes the master network of all consciousness) using individual consciousness intent protocol: icip://RWW.Individuated-consciousness.NPMR. Everything in existence is connected because it is evolving as part of one source, one continuous n-dimensional sheet, one substance, one media, one fractal, one Big Picture, one consciousness…” [10] (p 334)
[[ Criteria for Consciousness ]]
So what makes a being a conscious being?
1. Data input (experience)
2. Data recall (memory)
3. Data processing (creating “sense,” organizing data)
4. Self-modifying feedback loop (learning, growth, self-modification, consciousness evolution) [10][12]
…That’s it.
[[ Entropy: The physics of consciousness systems ]]
The criteria for evolution (modification into a more profitable state) in a biological system are survival and procreation. “For consciousness system that criteria (for evolution) is entropy reduction.” Entropy can be thought of as “a measure of disorder…if you have high-entropy you have more disorder…if you have less entropy you have more order and energy that can do work and have an effect.”[12] High entropy results in “dysfunctional internal constraints” within a consciousness system that reduces “functionality and efficiency.” [11]
Examples of a high entropy consciousness: Needy, neurotic, panicked, fearful, confused, egoic, beliefful (be-lie-full), assumptive, expecting, rejecting, spiteful, etc.
“High entropy consciousness has little power to affect anything outside itself. In contrast, a low entropy consciousness can perform miracles (from the perspective of PMR) that send psi researchers running for their notebooks.” [11] (p 334)
Low entropy consciousness is characterized by a broad decision space, a broad horizon of experiential apprehension, more options/apps/abilities, less constraints, less disorder/dysfunction, further towards the love end of the spectrum, as opposed to the fear end of the spectrum.
[[ Features and benefits of a low-entropy consciousness ]]
One lowers entropy by many means. One of the best ways is through experience (data input). Then you have the glorious opportunity to recall that input (memory). Next, based on one’s own ability to analyze a given situation, one rearranges the meaning, the content, of that input into a kind of ‘useful lesson’ so the experience is more profitable for the individual (the overall consciousness system) and can result in magic. One organizes experience to create a more profitable state of being (growth/evolution, wow!).
Example A:
1. Donny smokes four packs of cigarettes in thirteen hours and collapses ambulatory.
2. In the future Donny RECALLS the results of smoking eighty fags.
3. Donny keeps that data in the front burner of their consciousness so next time.
4. Donny grows/evolves.
Example B:
1. Donny enacts revenge upon the cigarette company by massacring the staff.
2. Donny sees that he’s destroyed families, and not solved the problem, which is simply being a member of a culture of addiction.
3. Donny realizes what he’s set in motion though many days of solitary confinement.
4. Donny grows/evolves.
Suspending internal belief systems and replacing them with an approach of “open-minded skepticism” is highly beneficial (and evidence of intelligence). Meditation is an excellent way to lower entropy and will be examined in a forthcoming section of this paper, so hold on.
Unconditional love is the natural outcome of a low entropy consciousness. Remote-viewing, out-of-body experience, healing, precognition are also apparently easy access for such a low entropy consciousness.
All in all, experiencing reality outside of the physical constraints of the body.
“You can go out of body of the out of body – once you’re in that out of body state there’s other realities you can get to.” [18]
Page 84: “We logged thousands of hours exploring and probing the limits of reality, produced a huge pile of measured data, and filled up boxes full of audio tape that recorded every word of our sessions. The mental space we practiced in was nonphysical – bodiless. Unlike my previous TM meditation, we were active, willful autonomous agents within the larger nonphysical reality. We went places, did things, communicated with nonphysical beings.” [11]
Remember, if you rearrange the letters in word “evolve”, you get “lovvee.”
[[ Entropy in evolutionary digital consciousness information systems ]]
You are like a ferret. Both animals are fundamentally engaged in the same activity: reduction of overall consciousness system entropy. This is the Fundamental Process of all conscious, sentient life. As entropy lowers the vista of decision space broadens (more apps, options, systems, interfaces, interactions, possibilities, evolutions, etc.). In MBT sentient life is sometimes referred to as an Individuated Unit of Consciousness (IOUC)—a chip off the larger reality (consciousness) block. In other words, everyone, every animal, all sentient life, physical or nonphysical is part of and inexorably connected to the larger reality of consciousness. Another way to think about this is everyone, whether they are aware of it or not, is running Consciousness Explorer—continually. Consciousness Explorer is the only game in town. It is the media platform by which reality itself emerges. And it is the reader (you)!
Sure—we’ve floated through a lot of scenes and done a lot of things and changed a few times but really that’s only our memory of what we’ve done via Consciousness Explorer. It’s the History File of the sites we’ve visited. It’s as if your computer program Internet Explorer believed that it was the websites it had visited, or its sense of ego (or the Tragic Comedy of ME) was generated by what pages were loaded, rather than the internal code (skeleton, organs, etc) that uphold program, or the eyes that give it meaning. [10]
“Adding unprofitable internal constraints (belief, fear, and ego) to your consciousness is analogous to scattering bricks and concrete blocks on a highway. The highway was built by employing profitable external constraints (all traffic confined to a convenient and efficient roadway of a specific type of location), while littering it with obstacles represents the addition of dysfunctional internal constraints that reduce the roadway’s functionality and efficiency.”
”The energy of consciousness has the potential to organize itself more effectively – to develop more complete and brighter awareness, generate and creatively utilize understanding, feeling, caring, love, and directed mental effort in a way that is useful and helpful to itself and to other consciousness struggling to evolve. Each individuated consciousness generates its own unique path toward increasing or decreasing profitability, yet all expressions that reflect the process and purpose of the whole. Better quality of within the larger consciousness system is actualized through the synergistic self-improvements of its individuated parts. Entropy reduction is the name of the game at all levels within all dimensions of the consciousness-evolution fractal wherever evolution is succeeding. Wherever evolution is not succeeding, that portion of the consciousness-evolution fractal is stagnant, deteriorating, or dying.”
”The entropy within a consciousness system (including an individuated subsystem) represents the unavailability of consciousness energy to do work. The primary work of consciousness is to more effectively organize itself, to take charge of its own evolution, and to increase overall profitability through self-modification (growth). High entropy states within consciousness represent unprofitable organization: disorganization, fears, beliefs, dimness, diminished potential, self-centeredness, and an inability to understand complex interrelationships or see big pictures. Higher entropy results in consciousness systems having less power that can be applied to overcome the inertia of ignorance and ego dysfunctionality. Not decreasing entropy of consciousness results in a squandering of potential.”
”The fewer internal dysfunctional constraints (such as fear, ego, need, or beliefs) that limit a particular consciousness, the lower its associated entropy and the more effectively it can populate the most profitable states available to it. The drive or urge to be helpful to, and care about others (love) is an innate property of low entropy consciousness. A low entropy consciousness is an effective and powerful consciousness. Consequently, a low entropy individuated consciousness represents an effective individual with considerable personal power.”
”The self-removal of internal self-imposed constraints from sentient entities provide opportunities for reducing entropy and increasing synergy, while internal constraints removed from inanimate objects provide opportunities for increased entropy.” (p 441)
[[ Intent: the force that drives all reality ]]
The reason why something is done is more vital to consciousness evolution than how the committed action plays out. It is one’s intent that is of the highest priority to consciousness evolution. [10]
“Let’s talk a moment about free will and making choices. What you do is not of primary importance; why we do it is what counts. The intent of motivation of is the choice. Thus, our free will choices are primarily choices of motivation and intent – why we do what we do. Only secondarily are they choices of doing.” (p 65)
Keep in mind, “This is not biological evolution we are talking about, where the key process driver is what you do. In the evolution of consciousness, motivation and intent are the key drivers of evolutionary process. What you do is secondary to why you do it.” (p 66)
“You gain personal quality the same way you gain strength and endurance or learn to play the piano – by dedication and continual effort applied over a significant period of time. We call this self-teaching incremental self-improvement process ’bootstrapping’…only you can accomplish self-improvement.” (p 66)
[[ An introduction to optimizing conditions of Consciousness Explorer for accessing PMR, NPMR, and the Reality Wide Web (RWW): Redefining Meditation ]]
One may want to consider using a binaural beat (BB) sound wave set to about the Theta/Delta range (7-4 Hz) to aide in pacifying the transition into Single Point Consciousness (SPC) and onward onto the Reality Wide Web (RWW). [12] The SPC operational state is the like getting off the earth/human/body application and onto the desktop interface. In Buddhism the desktop is described as the void. BB is used to facilitate the operational state referred to as meditation. Meditation becomes the SPC. BB is a wonderfully effective fast track hack to SPC. Some devout Buddhist meditators have said that BB hacks will familiarize the user with operational states and facilitate one to ‘click’ into these states in a matter of weeks, that beforehand took decades of sitting and probing to become mildly competent in: “It has taken me twenty years to learn what you teach here in a week.” [17]
The point of meditation is to lower the signal-to-noise ratio in favor of the signal end of the spectrum. ‘Noise’ represents mental chatter, analysis, intellectualization, conceptualization, thought, belief, expectation, fear, ego, etc. ‘Signal’ represents unconditioned perception, reality, consciousness, or That Which Is. “In other words, the less ‘noise’ we have, the more accurate our perceptions will be.” Furthermore “By avoiding naming and analysis, and by becoming aware of our lifelong conditioning, we can learn to view with naked awareness and greatly increase the signal-to-noise ratio of our process. When people usually gain this awareness, it is often a life-changing experience for them…” [19] (p 59)
The less entropy of the overall consciousness system, the more one can hack out of it.
[[ One’s individual sentient awareness is the laboratory ]]
Though these are kind of ‘stick with it’ experiments that take time for data/results to accumulate so the curious may need to exercise the elasticity of one’s attention span—Genanken experiments are experiments that can only be done in the mind. This is the whole concept of mindfulness in mediation. One cannot just read about meditation and have a meditative experience, nor is mediation objective. Yes, one can see physiological, neurological, and psychological changes within an individual but mediation exercises are fundamentally subjective experiences.
There is no point in thinking about consciousness. It is like trying to think about that which thinks. It’s nonsensical. Mediation is the alternative to thought. It is the exploration of that which thinks. “Consciousness is personal. Consciousness is something that you can not get the fundamental nature of intellectually. It’s not something you can get in a lecture or read in a book. It’s something you have to experience.”[14]
[[ Deep Reality Hacking ]]
Deep Reality Hacking (DRH, or Dr.H) constitutes extra-physical hacks (aka: psi phenomenon, psychotronics, out of body experiences, remote viewing, healing, precognition, etc.) which can only be achieved if there exists enough available processing, memory, and energy for Consciousness Explorer to execute a given command. This is the testimony of scientists. Scientists can’t run around publishing lies like the rest of us. Their careers depend on non-falsified data, un-like just about everything that will be on the tele.
Deep Reality Hacks include but are not limited to: expanded awareness, expanded decision space, reality feed switching, parallel processing, healing, remote viewing, remote influencing, remote diagnosis, nonphysically visible data sensory (aura detection), telepathic rapport, “out-of-body” travel, precognition, postcognition, surfing the RWW, etc., All of which are a kind of database accessing. All of this is available to low entropy Consciousness Explorers.
[[ The biological operating platform ]]
The body is a physical-biological platform to aide in the processes of learning, self-modification, and evolution of the fundamental Consciousness Explorer: nonphysical software.
“Your body is actually a virtual body, an experience of consciousness made apparently physical by constraining all interactions of the individuated limited awareness and experience to only those allowed by the space-time rule-set…the body is a virtual extension of an individuated (constrained) unit of consciousness. From the PMR view consciousness is the nonphysical energy of a self-organizing digital system – it is the energy of profitable organization.” [11] p 334
You are just multidimensional data constrained into forms on multiple planes of multiple matters, physical and nonphysical.
[[ An expansion of Hacking by definition and the hackable area of application into the occurring Virtual Physical Matter Reality (a segment for mystics, new-agers, and the nouveau psychonauts) ]]
If you ever had Uncle (Beastie) Al in your reading life then you already know that the updated architecture of the word magic is magick and likewise its meaning is updated: “the science and art of causing change to occur in conformity with the will.”
What the hell does that mean?
“We must not exclude potato-growing or banking from our definition. Let us take a very simple example of a Magical Act: that of a man blowing his nose.”) [5]. Given that acting, verb-ing of any sort is ipso facto magick by definition, Uncle Al’s library of publications on action optimization and their notorious code has been a fun commodity to hack since he began publishing like a fiend. Yet hack, as it stands, seems to be the updated form of magick.
The spectrum of individual action is based solely on perception. All we’re done then is hacked technologies (from verbal speech to mathematical to the Internet) out of our observations and insights (perception). Our moves, conduct, holding open of doors, washing of body, parking on the moon, shouting the acoustical signal “hello” etc. are equally hacks. This extends to all human dimensions: governance, science, art, communication, technology, etc. (all old guards are likely aware).
Thus, any operation enacted by a sentient operator within a physical or nonphysical environment qualifies as a hack. Both the operator and the environment are affected. This is one way to think of that, which has been called karma. Whooooa. But you don’t have to. Just a thought. Only a metaphor.
Clean air, clean water, clean food, exercise are like top-of-the-line defragmentation software as well as certain needlessly stigmatized pharmacological upgrades.
[[ Hipping other Consciousness Explorers 1.0 to the fact that they’re unconsciously surfing a PMR system within the RWW via Consciousness Explorer 1.0 ]]
How is one to spread the word? First read MBT. In the book Campbell draws an analogy between being conscious of consciousness and a fish become aware of water. Another line that was floated around on MBT forums (may have also been stated in the series): Step one is realizing there is a step one.
This is a serious difficulty for those Consciousness Explorers (CEers) that have been narrowed by believing the dogma/aesthetic objects of cultural operating systems (or, as I call hypnotism by infrastructure). If you are compelled to broaden the scope of the conversation with these folk you may wanna try something real casual like, “Nothing has so deranged our individual perceptions and experiences of reality more so than the assimilation of language upon our consciousness.” Be creative!
Any form of expression, art, communiqué, speech, DVD burning, link-spamming, or whatever aimed at helping other CEers realize that thought has been mistaken for consciousness, reality is best modeled as a virtual digital simulation, love is the lowest state of disorder for a consciousness system, etc. would be an awfully useful and overall beneficial way to spend some PMR 101 Earth awake time—if so inclined. I think this area could end up creating a new form of interactive information art, similar to the concept behind Champaigne’s Vanitas which “Triggers a higher level of thought and awareness in the viewer,” summing up biological existence in just a few smeared oils [16]. This would be an alternative avenue to the novelty obsession that has plagued postmodern art.
One can easily imagine a movement to spread the word via instillation pieces, psychoacoustic BB sound art, dream machines, strobes set to four flashes a second, films, podcasts, poetry, video games, etc., all probably manifesting as a form of information art, informatism, a splicing of art, data, and technology—Deep Reality Hacking Info Art. Some of this art would be used to induce meditative operational states (probably audio/video) while others would just be used to invoke Bigger Picture curiosity.
The use of reality hacking is already vogue within the artistic activists of the culture jamming underground. Jammers use cognitive, meme-art-warfare, mindfuck works largely aimed to the illuminate the toxic/rigid/shallow practices, philosophy, and value system that has beset all sides of earthly physical existence by of the social takeover of legally recognized corporate “persons”. Deep Reality Hacking Info Art is dissimilar to reality hacking in the sense that the message will not strictly be a response to the hideous corporate landscape but rather the target intention will be a means by which to upload fact or curiosity into observes regarding their positions as largely unconscious Consciousness Explorers in a virtually unrecognized Virtual Reality—So arts to act as an avatar/icon informing and referring observes to the Bigger Picture or the real dope data (i.e. MBT).
The Monroe Institute’s consciousness altering audio binaural beat and guided meditation recordings Hemi-Sync (hemispheric synchronization) Gateway Program represents a kind of indulgently commodified Deep Reality Hacking Info-Art ($85-$400 for CDs). The short film Flicker by John Cavanaugh equally disrupts standard cognition and consciousness activity. This event. This paper…
[[ Jacques Fresco’s Future by Design and the Resource Based Economy ]]
Given sentient consciousness is a nonphysical, entropy-based evolutionary system, then logically the current form of human social interaction and economics (exploitation, monetarism, imperialism, murder) should be considered as an obsolete operating system given that it is not working in anybody’s favor, including those that assume that the accumulation of goods/wealth or control thereof is working to their advantage. If one’s intent increases consciousness system entropy than it’s a devolving intent. The social design concepts put forth by engineer Jacques Fresco: the Resource Based Economy, Future by Design, and The Venus Project are the most likely PMR human social arrangements to maximize the potential profitability state for earth bound human entities. Fresco’s sheer design is based on entropy reduction on a massive social scale (without the whole genocide thing). Although the current incarnation of human society does offer the individual many an opportunity to evolve consciousness based on the presence of widespread suffering, it is observably not intelligent behavior to continue this terricidal/genocidal operational mode. The author of this paper is only a few years older than the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, a content of trash. This is a mirror of the quality of our consciousness…
Warmongering is no longer legitimate. This includes preemptive warmongering. In a sense those that commit themselves to the decadence of mass violence (eco, social, physical, internal) ensure a longer stay in a more constrained reality frame with far less options. They are suckers.
As consciousness evolution is facilitated by lower nonphysical entropy states the current form of governance, economics, and society at large is ipso facto entropy increasing and also indoctrinates newborn individuals to follow suit. To facilitate human consciousness evolution via entropy reduction, the longstanding popular notion of attempting to keep “his dying show on the road”[7] requires replacement in favor of an abundantly sustainable, more profitable, entropy-reducing, consciousness-evolving physical social platform. Fresco’s Future by Design appears the most appropriate alternative to the out-dated status quo.
The immediate and common retort “it’s human nature to be selfish, exploitive (and quite clearly, lethargic),” is no longer a valid argument in favor of continuing the cyclic monstrosity of limited human understanding, and thus activity, as portrayed Tom Cole’s five-part series of paintings The Course of Empire as consciousness evolves by entropy reduction. It’s human nature to begin as ignorant and pretend that you’re not until the scene really goes to hell.
Tom Campbell on culture
The following is lifted from an e-mail:
"The monetary system, like the nightly news, is a reflection of the quality of consciousness of the inhabitance of PMR [physical matter reality] -- not the other way around. The cause is the low average quality of consciousness, the result is fear, greed, ego, abuse, fascism, money (debt) based value, and much unnecessary suffering. it is not that human nature is deranged, human nature is to grow toward love. It is the quality of the average human in our PMR that is the problem, not the nature of being human. If you study utopian constructs you will see that often the ideas are quite good-- the theory works -- it is the implementation of the theory by ordinary people that dooms its long term potential. First, we must raise the quality of consciousness, then almost everything else that is a good idea, like J. Fresco's ideas, becomes easy to implement in a stable form."
[[ Resource Based Economics ]]
Marshall McLuhan wasn’t being glib when he said, “money is a poor man’s credit card.” The fact is currency exchange (monetarism) is inherently debt, ergo: money is debt.
“A Resource-Based Economy is a system in which all goods and services are available without the use of money, credits, barter or any other system of debt or servitude. All resources become the common heritage of all of the inhabitants, not just a select few. The premise upon which this system is based is that the Earth is abundant with plentiful resource; our practice of rationing resources through monetary methods is irrelevant and counter productive to our survival.”
“Modern society has access to highly advanced technology and can make available food, clothing, housing and medical care; update our educational system; and develop a limitless supply of renewable, non-contaminating energy. By supplying an efficiently designed economy, everyone can enjoy a very high standard of living with all of the amenities of a high technological society.”
“A resource-based economy would utilize existing resources from the land and sea, physical equipment, industrial plants, etc. to enhance the lives of the total population. In an economy based on resources rather than money, we could easily produce all of the necessities of life and provide a high standard of living for all. Keep in mind, Culture is a physical extension that represents or embodies one’s nonphysical quality of consciousness.
[[ Likely of outcome CC ]]
Continued oppression; possible mass extinction.
[[ CC: conclusion ]]
Despite the love affair, Culture is an aesthetic object. Although many defend its utility as a system that brings people together, more often than not it a pretense for division, control, isolationism, and war. Or Culture is used to protect one from the hard facts: there is no security at all, anywhere; there is no certainty at all, anywhere. The very fact that we are conscious is what brings us together.

“This Mind is the matrix of all matter.” Max Plank, the founder of Quantum Mechanics
“…the very study of the external world led to the scientific conclusion that the content of the consciousness is the ultimate universal reality.” –Noble Prize Winner Eugene Wigner, The Place of Consciousness in Modern Physics (1972).
"Mind is necessary for the world to undergo the formality of existing. This is what quantum physics teaches." –Terrence McKenna
“Although each of us obviously inhabits a separate physical body, the laboratory data from a hundred years of parapsychology research strongly indicate that there is no separation in consciousness.” –Russell Targ.
“It’s just data,” –Thomas Campbell on consciousness and reality.
"Your belief systems limit your reality to a sub-set of the solution space that does not contain the answer." –Thomas Campbell
"Expectations are beliefs." –Thomas Campbell
“If we use the scientific method throughout the world the probability of war drops, the probability of to zero human suffering disappears, deprivation, poverty, crime all those things have to disappear because there’s no basis for it.” –Jacques Fresco
“The process with which you think about things is based upon indoctrination, which are given by your society. So your range of thought is limited by the dominant values of your society. So learning to be flexible in values takes a long time.” –Jacques Fresco
“We’re not born with prejudices and bigotry and anger and greed, it’s really generated and nurtured by the environment that we live in, that’s why we feel that unless you change your environment and change the experience you’ll get the same aberrant behavior in people…” –Roxanne Meadows, friend and partner of Fresco
[[ Spreading awareness of MBT and Fresco's Future by Design ]]
I wish to reiterate the quote by James Joyce that was repeated by conservationist and advocate for the exploration of the interior, Terrence McKenna, who used the line often, as a poetic sentiment regarding consciousness evolution, “Man will become dirigible…”
[[ A Word of Caution ]]
It is useless to just believe this article—that would make all this dogma and in-turn to engender the reverse of this work’s goal. Believing this article is not investigating your consciousness. One must investigate their own being, their own existence, their own consciousness to best prove or disprove the suggested models contained herein. I suggest practicing that which Campbell himself recommends: “open-minded skepticism,” and getting started when you’re ready. To get started read Campbell’s book My Big TOE, it’s nearly 900 pages of data pertaining to the nature of consciousness and a damn insightful (and funny) read. Also check out his London Lecture at
Please be well. Think amore. “Taste the pudding.” Find out for yourself. Meditate. “Discover Big Truth.” Read MBT. RV VR! Rock beyond that which you have ever rocked before (evolve/lovvee)!

wow
amazing, thanks.
Now this just needs some artistic communication and the planet can jump on board.
Let's do some Conscious Science!
great quotes too
"the formality of existing" hahahha, hadn't heard that one.
Let's do some Conscious Science!
for some reason
I laughed when I read that too haha
"There is no final revolution. Revolutions are infinite."
Doses
I know it has been suggested before. But I think we need to dose the population with high grade LSD, all of this scientific "proof" will be completely unneccesary. I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of exploding a massive bomb, which is filled with billions of little biodegradable sacs containing LSD-25 which will enter the water supply? and from there perhaps it would evaporate in to the sky and form clouds, talk about ACID RAIN. All nonsense aside though, raising the collective consciousness is the last step, the ideas are in place, everybody just needs to jump on board.
"Soon we'll find out who is the real revolutionaries." -- Robert Nesta Marley
interesting
1 oz can dose 300,000 people ...
"There is no final revolution. Revolutions are infinite."
book(s)
Check out any books by Dorion Sagan, but especially "Notes from the Holocene"
It's awesome, trust me = )

"There is no final revolution. Revolutions are infinite."
wow
sexy. I wish I were still in the States to get my hands on all these books.
Let's do some Conscious Science!
I see you're in Columbia ...
Would the shipping charges via online be exorbitant ...? Where do people in Columbia get books?! You need to get this hah
"There is no final revolution. Revolutions are infinite."
This quote
"Your belief systems limit your reality to a sub-set of the solution space that does not contain the answer." –Thomas Campbell
Reminds me of the blog post I just wrote yesterday ... check it, I mean that quote sounds very abstract, but it can actually be quantified

left brain over load. (Lets find Knowing)
Harry F Brewster II
To much Left hemisphere stuff going on here. When water flows naturally it takes the path of least resistance, in other words simplify when ever possible a balance is needed here. This whole concept of being a spiritual intellectual is full of gas (ego)
Seems to me westernized spirituality still has to meet some intellectual litmus test as if one needs to meet some collegiate style criteria of education to be spiritual or enlightened. Our system of learning breads clones that are more programmed not to question, stay in the box, and keep this machine of control afloat. To overlay that system of learning (programing) as a way of connecting to your god self is limited very limited. You have to have read this list of books, from this list of highly toted visionnary in the field, who are selected
specifically by...... Who else!
Who gets that," Required Reading" stamp of approval, by who else.....Right. Then you get your piece of rolled up paper with stamped seal of degree "in Who's order? Put on a fun hat an gown participate in a masonic style ritual indoctrinating you to, head of some sheeple heard (but I digress) come on! We're talking Mastery of life! about knowing the true self!
That's come from the heart not a book. To come to know true self is hardly a function of the left brain. When you meditate your trying to shut all that left brain mess down. You'll never figure out the univese through left brain intelligence, fact finding, and research, not from our programing style of learning.
it's a futile concept. Until of course you stumble across some research that tells you to find your heart and open up to your higher self and there you will know creation! not figure it out. You can't intellectualize your way to your higher self,
write a book go on tour, become a best seller, capitalization of spirituality,
spirituality for dummies. Its time to put all that away now we've experienced enough of that now. Its time to reconnect. a true teacher points the way along a familiar path and knows each one must walk there own experience.
( my disclaimer is, It your choice, your call!)
All paths lead to source!
