10 Things I Can Do To Evolve

groks

1) Eliminate foods from my diet that have been brutally and horrifically tortured in factory farms before reaching my mouth, including at restaurants. This includes dairy, eggs, and meat, and all of their pseudonyms.
2) Drink more water ~ we are made of electromagnetic energy and as water conducts electricity, the more hydrated we are the more energized/electrified we are (enabling us to hold a higher wattage/vibration).
3) Eat more raw leafy greens which contain the most chlorophyll and fuels our cells with light.
4) Continue to diligently remind myself that I am not a victim in my life, and that our circumstances are a perfect reflection of what we believe about ourselves (as adults).
5) Stretch my body.
6) When someone says or does something that upsets me, pause to investigate the emotional reaction I automatically go into, however subtle, and begin to understand myself better which in turn will help me understand others and have more compassion for their own personal emotional reactions.
7) See and be kind to every person I cross paths with and who passes me on the street. Look at every person in the eyes and smile. We all just want to be seen and acknowledged at our core.
8) Kill nothing intentionally, not even a bug. Have reverence for all life. A bug deserves to be here the same as I do.
9) Be my own hero and act from this inspiration, never hold back for fear of what others will think. We are a nation of sheep as everyone waits for someone else to change the world, or succumbs to the deadened belief that the world does not need changing.
10) Have the audacity to express these truths I hold evident, knowing there are others out there who are also living inspired and enthusiastic lives. (remember "hundredth monkey"!).

Thanks!

Glad you shared this!
I love the ideas- and I love the idea of defining ways to evolve!
Best of luck on the voyage!

Thanks Beau for letting me know!
And psychegram, fyi, I've never been bitten or bothered by a bug since I stopped harming them. Amazing how that works out. Thanks for reading. : )

right on

Is the preferable means to survival found in absolute 'non-violence'? What ever that should really mean. My take on evolution is more tuned to seek and develop harmonious existences. Nature herself seems to have eons ago established a somewhat turbulent- inspirational environment of existence. Where big eats small and small eats big, in unending chains of recycling the otherwise heaping corpses of succeeding generations. Notwithstanding these exaggerations, i can whole heartedly agree with a vegan solution for harmony, in case humans actually wish to sustain existence, long term, in large numbers.

The word vegan still raises eyebrows, in some places, but after years of shifting gears, i can happily say that, as a life style, it can be much more affordable and healthy, if researched and seasoned with care.

Large, disproportionate human numbers, demanding larger factory farms, perhaps to grow hamburgers without need of grinders does oddly seem to occupy governance, these days.

So more power to you Elisa, may the world encourage more people to hear your message of hope and reason ;-)

Artgineer ~ I'm glad you

Artgineer ~ I'm glad you honed in on the factory farming portion of what you read, as there is a holocaust of unimagineable proportions going on as I write this. There is a reason I specifically use the words I do in #1 of my list, and didn't say "become vegan". Attention must be brought to factory farming specifically and as this were to happen, I believe people's humane and better portion of themselves would then become vegan as a result of abstaining from factory-farmed produced animal foods. I myself years ago dabbled now and again in so-called "free-range" meat and such until learning about and facing the reality of what "free-range" really means.
Furthermore, a reverence for life is something different still than "absolute non-violence", which is why I chose the words I did there as well. Whether we, as nature's seemingly most able-thinking creatures are 'meant' to kill animals for food (as nature's "big eats small" example you mention), is not so much the central issue for me personally as is to cherish life to the degree that my natural reactions do not involve such mindless and unconcious actions such as swatting a mosquito or killing a spider. If I were in a native tribe, or living on Pandora, I might be of the mindset that I could hunt and kill because my survival were dependent on it ~ and then it would be a "clean" kill whereas I blessed the animal and thanked it for its life.
My survival today is not dependent on eating animals and our culture has become educated to the degree that we now know we can thrive on a non-animal diet. Not only thrive but evolve.
I am able to reflect upon my actions and consider the options. Animals as far as we know are not. They kill by primal instinct because they have to. It is my experience that I can make choices that directly affect my evolution in this lifetime, or lackthereof.
The one thing I'm certain of is that no creature on this planet should be tortured. And that as my life is precious and as I'm able to stop and recognize that, I'm able to recognize that all lives are precious.
Thankyou for your reading and responding!

reverence through evolved traits

Indisputable, yet again, Elisa-- That important truth of reverence, at all, first and foremost! Reverence for life the essential subject, in a world so indulged in wars and pillaged gains. I reply again perhaps more for those who might benefit to consider and reconsider what they eat. That furthermore, it is not just effeminate in style, or silly, for the assertive and strong minded out there, besides. But also for the dynamics who push hard at all works throughout life. Besides It can be pointed out: That any of us can demonstrate some strength and productivity, as a result of our species and our personal evolution combined-- This all is a worthy goal. To get off the lower vibrations of antecedent life forms. Of pushing forward beyond past desperations if not incarnations. Of vibrations of torture unimagined, of growing stalls no larger than tongue can stretch. Inconceivable, yet big-box consumers flock in for more to sicken their molecular health. May others say more, to inspire and not to bore.

1. 2. 3.

A wonderful reminder of what we already deep down know as true.

:-)

what a wonderful girl you are. i'm working on the vegetarian thing, it's not hard except for that i forget! I'm so used to eating meat that i just stuff it in my mouth before i realize. i'm happy to hear someone else voice these values i have always held in myself. i never intentionally kill something, unless it's trying to hurt me.

thank you for this excellent reminder! i'm going to print it and put it up near my desk.

another addition to evolving

Express your divine creativity through art, music, dance, theatre, words, etc....let go of al negative space. Expose and shine the light upon all forms of tyranny against the value of liberty. Otherwise positive ways to evolve Elisa...beautifully expressed, thanks for sharing. Namaste!

Re: 10 Things I Can Do To Evolve

I'm inspired that you all have taken the time to read this and then to respond. That's what makes the difference really is participation. Thankyou Yenna. Thanks again Art (gineer). And Meg, I'd rather hear that a person simply forgets but is making the effort to abstain from animal products than hear that someone "just likes cheese too much" to refrain from contributing to animal torture.

We are what we eat

To leave the faintest footprint, I'm eating more raw foods. Not only do I eliminate energy use by not cooking, but I honour the integrity of the plants. Vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes...beautiful sustenance.

After just a few days of eating more raw foods, I am feeling energised and motivated.

I almost posted something similar to yours.

Similar wavelengths, I guess...

So nicely said ~ that by

So nicely said ~ that by eating raw you "honor the integrity of the plants".
Beautiful and true. Have you read David Wolfe's "Sunfood Diet Success System"? Despite the title sounding like an info-mercial, it's an inspiring and thorough book supporting the many different benefits of eating raw.
If you find yourself inclined again to post a similar blog, by all means do! In fact I've posted this list on Facebook along with the whole tagging procedure with hopes of that many others will create their own lists of things they can do to evolve.
Thanks for responding. Drop a note anytime.

Brilliant. Inspiring. Thank you.

Your top 3 are especially crucial, humankind transitioning to a vegan diet is the best thing we can do for ourselves, the planet and other sentient beings, without a doubt. -------> http://www.evolvecampaigns.org.uk/
