just wanted to share :)

Wow, so I have just had my fill for a couple months
of small talk.
I browse around the groups
and each one mumbles foreign passages,
spewing out these verbal lashes
of the same story
they've been telling for years
I don't want to be like this
when i am around my family
i want us to congratulate our real victories
not the new job we just got
where we sit and rot
and get fat

Yeah.

Saturday Night.

If I am grateful to one thing in my life,
It's addiction.
I noticed pretty early on,
that the only difference between substance abuse/addiction
and material longing
is the rate/speed/tempo
that this longing hits your consciousness.
And although
I continue
to participate
in thoughts/activities
which
I realize as phantoms.
I accept their nature
no longer bound to oblivion

Fascination expands through my perception
A chance to view my hands and threads within
A sense of balance, I see removal necessary,
A plucking of the strands deemed uncomplementary
It's more like dissolution actually
A leap of courage brings me to my knees
Humbling even the most vicious insanity
The days which pass are trials to complete
Every subsequent choice creates boundaries.

It's moments like this, moments that strip me from illusiory chains I willingly(?) carried; that endow me with such a profound sense of gratitude.

While the crystallization of thoughts
still echo in my memory
i choose here to manifest as poetry
mindful or not
of cliches
you dance around in my awareness
rather the culmination of
every moment you have witnessed.
If there is a you
I single out from the continuum
by chance or pre ordained
neither of importance,
when compared to the beauty i notice in your vibrations.
