Last night, in the midst of a conversation about the Power of Astrology, and how it is truly a Language above everything else that it may be, I realized exactly how language plays into our Reality tunnels, our Understandings of the world, and how Astrology is up there in importance with some of the most Sacred dialects, like Sanskrit and Hebrew.
Why?
Understanding the symbolic language of Astrology offers a multidimensional, Mythic, and Sacred understanding of not only the Present, but the Past, and the "Future." Especially Evolutionary Astrology, which focuses upon Karma, Past lives, and the desires of the Soul. I have always Intellectually understand this, but last night..., was the "Ah hhahhah." Even in my podcast, Exploring Astrology, in the Introduction I say, "deciphering the Symbolic language of God," but it hit me hard last night in feeling the immense Power one has when able to understand this Sacred language. And like all power: there is a Light and a Dark side!
An example:
You meet someone, and you say, "I dont know what it is, but there is something about her that I just cannot describe..."
(In Synastry, their charts have Sun conjunct Venus)
or,
...'I dont know what it is about him, but I fucking cant stand being around him."
(Mars square Mars in Synastry chart.
or better, yet.
"Why do I keep attracting the same partner."
(Pluto in the 7th)
etc etc etc....
Astrology seems to give us the lens to penetrate past the Conscious mind into the Subconscious realms like no other modality. And so, with this language we can transcribe the Unconsious Mind with our Conscious. What are the Ethics are this though. For instance, if a couple comes to you, they are having difficulty, you look at their charts, and you say to your self, "this will never work,' but you smile and proceed anyways. Six months later they come back, individually though this time around, wondering why!? In both readings, its tricky...there are many other scenarios this can create, and it takes careful precision to deal with your cards correctly.
Carl Jung wouldnt see a patient for the last decade of his professional career without having his sister look at their chart first, and he would even turn certain people away depending on their circumstances. Stan Grof has embraced Astrology, along with many others in their Professional careers to help them understand their surroundings with more clarity. I myself diagnose with Astrology in my Healing practice. I have found it more useful than pulse/5 Element diagnosis from my Chinese Medical training. And so, what does the future of Astrology look like? Will it find a niche within the Modern world? I truly believe a new Wave is cresting for Astrology, I hope to be one of the Messengers.

Wow very interesting. Im slacking on my astrology a little but i have deep understandings about it. Did you know that for instance in the morning and a chilled day, the water that freezes on your windshield locks in the stars pattern? You can measure it if you know what to look for.
This is how I see it: Everything to me is geometry, so I would be interested in a geometric explanation of astrology. We need to have a convo sometime about the geometric origins of alphabet.(that is if you don't already know about that) If you can add that understanding to what i think you already know?!!!! OH MY GOD! You would definitely have my admiration.

It is a leap to connect it to genetics, are you saying you have made that leap!? Why I word it like that is because its heavy ya know? First it starts which a "physical" understanding(geometric)then you can apply it to some of the "seemingly metaphysical" i.e DNA, gravity bending ideas

Sorry Chris, when I responded to your message, it was through my email and I thought you were directly talking to me...my bad.
Never thought about the geometric patterns like that on my windshield before...food for thought for sure! =) And as far as understanding Astrology through geometric patterns...Astrology is geometry! All the calculations of where the planets are at in the sky, dividing up the location of where you are at whenever you cast a chart into 12 segments, depending on the house system you use they vary, and all the aspects used to better understand the relationships to all of the celestial bodies is all geometry: ie. A square = 90 degrees in aspect, and is a relationship touching upon difficulty of dealing with those energies in full expression, or a quincunx, 150 degrees, which is a crisis in function...a sextile between two planets and a quincunx = a Yod, or a finger of God, one of the most profound aspects in Astrology. Fractal Time

I think the underlining principles of astrology and other systems like the I ching, relate to an ancient understanding of the nature of time. The ancients observed that the flow of creation was fractal in nature. To be fractal, is to be able to scale from the large and to small, a type of infinite symmetry. Astrology can takes aspects of the cosmos and can relate it to the individual, or visa versa.
Another aspect to this flow of creation, was the discovery of archetypes (the signs of the zodiac, the major arcane). These are the building blocks of creation and repeated over and over again. Again, they are fractal. They can be seen individually or as whole. The Zodiac could be viewed as a cosmic time clock, relating to larger and larger cycles of time, for example, the age of pisces moving into the age of aquarius. These archetypes are not arbitary, so they can be expressed as attributes as in astrology or in a mathematical algorithm such as the I Ching. Its forms are unlimited.
These systems were more than divination for the masses, but were originally major breakthroughs by the ancients who were able to pier into the nature of reality. They were surfers of the zuvuya. Remnants from an ancient culture who’s only legacy was the knowledge they left begin.
Time isn’t linear but fractal. However, the changing of time does have two aspects that relate to Terence Mckenna’s theory of timewave zero, it is either flowing towards novelty or away from it. Novelty being the “increase of the universe intuitively preceived interconnectiveness” – Alfred Whitehead. Today, these two timewaves, ancient knowledge and science are moving towards an great era of interconnectiveness.

This period of time of increased novelty is bringing the mystics and the scientists to merge, because the wave of the zuvuya is about to swallow them both up. All the astrological charts are doing is mapping out groundhog day, the ancients are reappearing again reliving the fate they faced in the past, but this time it is a little different, six billion souls are about to face their awakening together. This will be interesting.

Its interesting how you mentioned both Scientists and Mystics being swallowed up by the Zuvuya, in that we are now in the midst of this exact transit in the sky: Jupiter, Neptune, and Chiron in Aquarius. One aspect I equate to this powerful transit is that it is the meeting of Science (Aquarius) with Spirit (Neptune)...and we many of the other ways it expresses its self, we can see what you are talking about within it. Thank you for sharing, and yes, I will check out your article.

Wow that sounds interesting...Maybe I have been channeling in this book a little? Do you own that book? Im not using money currently but hopefully it gets to me somehow, The ones i need usually do somehow.
