The Eclipse Season *****

Today marks the first of three Eclipses in the next month. This is rare and is happening because of the proximity of the Sun and Moon the the Nodes of the Moon. So, we have two minor penumbral Lunar Eclipses--like the one today in Capricorn 15', and the next in Aquarius at 13'. The Solar Eclipse will be Total, and will happen on the 21st of July in Cancer. It will be visible in many of the Eastern/SouthEasten Countries on the Earth...

Now, so what? Eclipses are cool, and kinda boring if you cant see them... right? Well it doesnt mean they cannot be felt, and that they still are not an extremely potent moment in time for amazing growth and new beginnings.

If we think of the Sun as Consciousness and the Moon as the SubConscious, we can then begin to understand the nature of the Lunar Eclipse. Basically, a Lunar Eclipse is when the Earth gets in the way, blocking the light from the Sun shining upon the Full Moon. Now, the Moon is our habitual tendencies, our patterns, our comforts: It is where the Roots run deep. And so, addictions to food, money, sex, relationships, tv, internet etc etc, are a shining example of Food for the Moon. It is difficult to repattern our habitual ways? Our Mind catches on way before our Emotions do (the Moon). There are lifetimes of imprinting upon the Moon, and this is why the NOdes of the Moon are sooooo important in understanding the Evolution of the Soul in Astrology.

Continuing further, in the event of an Eclipse when the Suns rays, or Consciousness is blocked from the Moon, then the power of our Moon, or our habits is temporarily thwarted. This doesnt mean we are free, but it means there has a portal of opportunity arising for you to change any outmoded ways of being in your life. It is the richest time for ritual. Manifestations of desired objects (anything) will come with the right intent during these windows. Being that the Sun is in Cancer, Moon in Capricorn, it is also a good time to be alone, to go deeply into your heart, and weed out all the aspects of your being that arent serving you in your life currently. It is also very important to understand where this is happening in your natal chart, what aspects the Full moon is creating to other planets/angles in your chart, and to see how to work with this opportunity for change.

Like I said earlier, there are two Lunar Eclipses around the Solar Eclipse this season, meaning the door doesnt completely close after today...Between now and December 31, when the next Lunar Eclipse will be, we will watch our dreams unravel, we will look back next Christmas to the last 6 months with mouth agape to the changes we have made in our lives.
