Modern civilization has its roots in a deep misunderstanding about our role in this universe. We build tools and spend time constructing buildings, bridges, roads, etc, but for what purpose? Currently, we're laying the foundation for a global corporate power structure that has all but replaced government by the people.
Instead, our focus should be on creating tools to further our ability to share with each other. Sharing ideas and viewpoints, through art. Using the technology of art itself to express to one another how amazing it is to be alive, and how beautiful the universe is.
Tools such as guitars, paintbrushes, drum machines, pens and paper. Not so much hammers and saws and power tools.
So instead of asking "what can I do?" we should be asking "Why am I doing what I'm doing?". If there is no purpose, other than to inflate the bottom line of an already too rich multinational corporation, then you should reconsider what you're doing. It's okay to use natural resources for the right reasons, because you'll only use what you need.
Corporations know no limits. They only want more. more. more. They are not people, but they are creatures. Monsters who flatten the landscape and breathe poison into the air and water, to fulfill their insatiable appetite for money and power.

The corporations are legal
The corporations are legal persons meaning that persons; or people are corporations.
The corporation is not a living being and thus it behaves as a psychopathic entity, but it is the fault of the corporation since there is no living being at the helm?
You're not a person, you have a person and that artifice is your conduit to the public and how you operate in commerce.
Question is, what are we doing with our person? Or do we even recognize the man in the mirror at all?
Or another way to ask this question might be... If a corporation is a legal person with no living entity at the helm, then what is a living being posing as a person who has not made this distinction about himself?
If one presumes to be a legal fiction; aka person and are then treated as such can this be any surprise?
"Seek not abroad, turn back into thyself, for in the inner man dwells the truth..."
shutup about the universe
I am sick of hearing people refer to the universe as if they knew wtf it was.
