[Action Alert] • Orlando recently passed a law limiting Food Not Bombs from distributing free meals to the homeless more than twice a year. Evolvers can fight the food powers by writing a letter to the city, signing the petition, and boycotting the land of Mickey.

Think twice before planning that trip to Disney World. The worldwide all-volunteer organization Food Not Bombs is doing something to help the nearly one billion people who go without food every day, but are finding strong opposition from local officials in Orlando, Florida. The city recently passed a local law limiting the sharing of meals to twice a year per park. Many other cities are introducing similar laws. According to Food Not Bombs, St Petersburg is copying Orlando's ban and also is trying to move all the homeless either out of town or into another facility. Sarasota's large-group feeding ban will cap the program at 12 guests.
Gainesville is restricting the amount of food homeless shelters can
distribute.

As of June 15, twenty-one Food Not Bombs volunteers from the Orlando area have been arrested for sharing free vegan and vegetarian meals to the hungry. You can fight the food powers by writing a letter to the city, signing the petition, and boycotting the land of Mickey.

Food not Bombs permits

Instead of boycotting, why not fund the permits for Food not Bombs to operate? Unless it was a conspiracy to prevent them from working with the homeless anyway. In that case the organization needs legal support, not a letter.

Disobey that law, Orlando

Disobey that law, Orlando people!

One more right revoked...

I can not believe that we live in a nation that claims to be the land of the free and yet we don;t even have the right to feed our peers who are less fortunate in some places. Thank you for sharing I signed the petition and this just gives me one more reason to boycott Disney all together.
