Sitting at a messy dining room table covered with tubes of acrylic paint and bottles of wine-- some empty, some full, some dripping candle wax-- I thought of the Beatles.

[Total aside: It still feels unreal, being in Hawaii. This is my life from now on. It's so incredibly different, yet it feels just like any other day. I have learned to live objectively with no opinion on one day or another; they're all different and they all happen, whether I want them to or not.]

More specifically, I mentioned The Beatles on drugs. And my thought was this; before The Beatles were introduced to marijuana by Bob Dylan, all of their songs were catchy, typical pop songs, much like those now on mainstream radio. Some of the earlier songs that the Beatles are world famous for include "I Want to Hold Your Hand," "Can't Buy Me Love," and "Eight Days a Week" among countless others. All very simple and centered around the topic of love-- a concept EVERYONE is familiar with. The Beatles, however, aren't the best example for what I'm going to say because they never wrote hateful songs. The most "abrasive" (and I use that word SO literally... (Help! Comment me if you can think of a better word please!) ) Beatles song I can honestly think of is "Revolution," and the message behind it is still ultimately a positive one.

Back to the matter at hand... The radio today is DREADFUL. The songs that are popular may not be as simple as the early Beatles' music, but the ideas behind it are MIND-NUMBING. Love love love. Hate hate hate. Power power power. Uuugh [A la Rick Ross]. Can't anyone think outside of that area, stray away from the simplest of emotions and desires we have? Come to think of it, love, hate and power, in general, are all a bit strange...

Love, something we all search for in ONE person, often failing. I would never say love is a lost cause, but why not love everyone and everything, for isn't each moment perfect as it is?

And hate? Well, unfortunately, hate is a byproduct of our desire for power or control and these emotions are results of fear-- the fear of not being "loved" in return. (Here, I use the term "love" meaning to act positively towards.) A fairly clear example, "Party A" loves. "Party B" isn't the greatest country, and has the capability of being a douche, so "Party B" will take control of "Party A", attempting to force the love. As a result, "Party A" no longer has love for "Party B". In fact, "Party A" could be a 12 year old walking the streets with an AK-47, willing to shoot down the "Party B" for trying obtain control and force love... So like I said, "Party B" should go away, and both A and B should forget about whatever it was (or wasn't, since it was simply a fabrication) and move forwards, in peace, with faith that the other party will do the same.

By George, I think I've got it! WE CAN ALL DO THIS. We can have a community in which everyone has everything they could ever need. Let me make this very simple for you-- very real and concrete. I could have 3 acres of land in Hawaii and pay for the yearly rent which is dirt cheap (true story). No electricity or running water, only partly cleared. Picture land for camping. I could easily and inexpensively set up a military GE Medium tent for anything done indoors. Rainwater catchment and filtration for drinking, solar shower, maybe water pump set up for a sink of some sort-- an outdoor sort of living area. Perhaps a generator for electricity, more than likely a wifi hookup. My offering would then be a place to live, free of cost (except for things like water and electricity, if applicable, and split 100% evenly amongst all). In return, everyone involved would provide what it is they provide-- those who like to work with their hands would farm and build structures. The engineers get to use their brains and calculate, design ways to make our land more efficient. There would be someone who loves to cook, maybe someone who's OCD and needs to keep everything clean. Maybe a mechanic (to keep up with our cars and lawn mowers and generators too!) and a Doctor (which is aiming high) or RN... Everyone loves to do something, so why shouldn't everyone just do what they love and provide it to anyone who needs it?

This rant went off topic. LOL
