Could it be that the inner workings of our body and the outer manisfestations of our psychology are reflections of an ordered universe? Could it be that what we know as astrology today, newspaper horoscopes and internet fortunetellers, is a perversion of a respected and verifiable science of an astrology of the distant past? We are reminded by the words of Hermes Trimegistus that 'he who knows the Law of vibrations knows all' and 'as above so below'. And could the human body mirror laws that govern the planets of our solar system and the mysteries of our Milky Way galaxy?
A few years ago I came across the idea that our glandular system with it's organs of hormone regulation are individually matched to a planet/sun/moon within our solar system. The matches are as follows: Thymus/ Sun-- Pancreas/Moon-- Thyroid/Mercury-- Parathyroid/Venus--Solar Plexus(adrenal)/Mars-- Posterior Pituitary/Jupiter-- Anterior Pituitary/Saturn-- Sex Glands/Uranus-- Pineal/Neptune. Words in our vocabulary such as lunatic, mercurial, venereal, martial, jovial, and saturnine atest the the connection made by our ancestors between humanity and the solar system.
What this suggests to me is that if we properly understand the inner workings of our own body we may better be able to understand the laws of our universe. And not unrelated, we may better prepare our psychology for the possible transformation of 2012. One must begin to work with an idea AS IF IT WERE TRUE to discover it's validity.
