Hands On Chaos Magic: Reality Manipulation Through the Ovayki Current by Andrieh Vitimus. It's awesome. Lots of stuff on how to get focused, visualize and enhance awareness of perceptions. If we really believe we live in a dreamlike virtual reality, then magic should definitely be possible.

Thanks for passing that along, hadn't heard of it, so many great books to read... the more I dig the more I find that anything is possible with the right amount of conditioning and focus. For me, the effects of meditation and the effects of magic go hand in hand.

I hadn't realized it, but I actually heard the author of this book on another recent podcast... it was an awesome one, strongly recommend you check it out, the author is talking all about the book you mentioned.

That was about pulling out
splintered agony crap
confronting my memory
cutting it clean

Fulfilling foundation nurturing
succulent spice
mining for pearls beyond price
metaphoric treasures
built from rugged ice,
frozen seas and promises.
Dinosaur's black gold
danced its day in the Sun,
glistening jewels to elicit danger,
cockfights, demanding tragedies,
crusades.
Slaughtering geese, expecting
to own golden eggs -- what comedy!
Shaken well with laughter,
at last, relief!
In private sleep dwells
sweet light paradise
ever changing
ever entrancing
evolving shades of ecstasy.
It's a little game I play.
Transcribe the coin of dream
obtaining meaning.
