Though you might know of Buckminster Fuller and his career heading the design revolution for ultimate sustainability with Earth's resources, you might not yet be familiar with his largely accepted philosophical predecessor Barbara Marx-Hubbard. At 81 years old, Barbara has spent much of her life looking into the tunnel of conscious evolution and putting the puzzle pieces together forming the picture of the birth of true evolutionary consciousness, no overstatement, I assure you.

Some of the amazing things she's done over the years...

She was instrumental in founding many major organizations including the World Future Society, New Dimensions Radio, Global Family, Women of Vision In Action, The Foundation for the Future, and the Association for Global New Thought.

In 1984 her name was placed in nomination for the vice presidency of the United States on the Democratic ticket, calling for a “Peace Room” as sophisticated as our war room, to scan for, map, connect and communicate what is working in America and the world.

In 1990 she co-founded the Foundation for Conscious Evolution through which she developed the Gateway to Conscious Evolution, a global educational curriculum enrolling participants in the developmental path toward the next stage of human evolution.

As a citizen diplomat in the former Soviet Union during the 1980’s she co-chaired a number of Soviet-American Citizen Summits, introducing a new form of conferencing called SYNCON to foster synergistic convergence. This model brings opposing groups and functions together to seek common goals and match needs and resources including the growing edge of human capacities, spiritual, social and scientific/technological of the whole system.

Wisdom University has recently enlisted her to develop the first Chair in Conscious Evolution where she will join with her colleagues to develop a comprehensive field of study to envision and manifest a positive future.

She remains a leader on the growing edge of the women’s movement, supporting the emergence of the Evolutionary Woman, the Feminine Cocreator who is calling for the next level of creativity and partnership between women and men to guide our world through our current challenges and opportunities.

*Barbara’s books include: The Hunger of Eve: One Woman’s Odyssey toward the Future; The Evolutionary Journey: Your Guide to a Positive Future; Revelation: Our Crisis is a Birth –An Evolutionary Interpretation of the New Testament; Conscious Evolution: Awakening the Power of our Social Potential and Emergence: The Shift from Ego to Essence.

She is currently producer and director of the award winning series “Humanity Ascending: A New Way through Together.”

Barbara came into my field of view when I saw her interviewed in Daniel Pinchbeck's film 2012: Time for a Change at the premiere last spring in San Francisco. I especially loved her wisdom about sustainability and what that has to do with the oppression of feminine values and the devaluing of these attributes both in the film and in live panel discussions at GreenFestSF as well as after the film premiere.

You can imagine how excited I was when I learned recently that I had the amazing opportunity to interview her for The Empress Project Podcast.

In the interview Barbara shares her comforting wisdom about societal memes, the birthing process of the conscious feminine, and the demise of the nuclear family (which was created at the same time as the nuclear bomb), and the birth of local communities.

For those of us who are affected by the discussion on conscious -or divine if you prefer- masculine and feminine, there is wisdom for you to ponder here, from the woman who's biography (currently in the works) is titled The Mother of Invention. Enjoy my friends, and thanks for reading and listening!

Presence

Barbara Marx Hubbard is one those rare souls (for me at least) who is so extraordinarily energizing whenever, and however, I encounter her or her thoughtforms. I have never experienced the degree and depth of purposefulness, presence, mindfulness, and sheer joy of being with anyone and their work except for the Dali Lama. She truly is a pioneer at the frontiers of the evolution of our species, and I for one feel truly blessed and honored to have encountered her work.

Her forthcoming biography was written by Neale Donald Walsch by the way. Can't wait!

She's a very astute

She's a very astute linguist, uplifting and inspirational; I haven't detected any dissension surrounding her being thus far. She is good; and if not then she is really good. ;)

I don't know much about her.

But you have definitely piqued my interest!
