I tried to hold this back but I no longer can. Timothy Tebow is the antichrist. I was born and raised a strict Roman Catholic; but when I reached the age of 17 and was capable of thinking for myself I quickly left that religion because all I saw was hypocrisy. Every Sunday instead of praying and putting forth positive energy, everyone in the church would be paying attention to who came in late and if everyone was wearing the nicest clothes they have. I do not believe or follow any organized religion and I don't believe that Tim Tebow is the actual physical incarnation of 'The Antichrist.' As so many people around America are calling him Jesus, if anything he is the antithesis of Jesus.

While a nation was busy watching and believing that Jesus helped a team win a ball game, people around the world are fighting the same fight Jesus did and being ignored. Tebow is a complete distraction; one that Jesus warned us about and taught to renounce. How many Tebow addicts know that there has been yet another oil spill in Nigeria where everyone's livelihood is at risk? People are being shot and murdered in the streets while protesting an oil corporation’s control of their government. If you truly believe that Jesus is out helping a middle class American throw a football while 925 million people are starving you are insane.

I understand that he along with his father are preachers and try to help less fortunate people around the world; but is that the message you get when he is throwing a football? Are his physical attributes inspiring you to get up and use your skills and resources to help less fortunate people around the world? Or is it just inspiring you to buy a $100 football jersey and waste a day away watching a ball game and feel accomplished through his actions as if they were your own? Many of my friends know that I spotted Tebow out when he was a high school quarter back in Florida and was a huge fan when I used to research football so intently. But I'm a big boy now, and use my energy and knowledge on my reality instead of living vicariously through someone else's achievements in a ball game. Let’s grow the fuck up already.

For the price of ten stealth bombers, 100 million people can be easily fed. Tebow should be using his fame to help spread awareness for the poor and hungry around the world; like Jesus attempted. Every time this man puts pads on the entire country is hypnotized and fixated on the television screen. Think about how much money his success is making for already rich people who collect on his jersey sales, million dollar commercials that last minutes, ticket sales, etc.

Now if instead of watching another rich white man throw a ball, we were watching rich white men throw bombs at barefoot starving brown men--> there would be no more of this criminal poverty. It is a SIN to have so much wealth that other people MUST live in starving poverty worse than primitive conditions. Tonight one in seven people will die of starvation. THERE ARE MORE HUNGRY PEOPLE IN THE WORLD THAN THE COMBINED POPULATION OF U.S. CANADA, AND THE EUROPEAN UNION; THEY LIVE IN THESE CONDITIONS BECAUSE WE LIVE IN EXCESS. Nations in Latin America, Africa, and Asia are so devilishly exploited that there is not enough land for people to grow their own food making them dependent on these westerners for food and work. Everything of value in the countries are exported for a Western Corporation to profit. Instead of us evolving as social beings from the multiple religious examples; the only thing that has evolved is Mercantilism

Please don't get me wrong I'm just as guilty as the next person. All I'm saying is that if the time and energy spent memorizing players names, numbers, college's, religions, and activities they do after work, was spent seeing what the lives of people are like around the world, things would change. Isn't that what Jesus preached? Didn't he preach leave all material goods and everyone you know behind, to live a humble life and preach to live in peace because we are all brothers and God is our father? Didn't he spend all his time feeding the hungry and clothing the naked while the entire of the known world was busy watching Gladiator games and Chariot races? If you are enough of a loony tune to call Tebow Jesus, I have the balls to call him the antichrist. Would Jesus be playing games with poison/alcohol commercials and war mongering military commercials every 5 minutes? Is this where you want to be when Jesus comes back; sitting in front of a box with moving pictures, judging people who are actually out doing what Jesus would be doing?
