Is Reality Sandwich deliberately over-charging for their retreats?

Last fall, I was lucky enough to win a free ticket to Reality Sandwich's fall retreat, the so-called Dimensional Shift. Being a young man of 23 years, this was probably one of the crowning moments of my life so far. I was actually able to sit down and have a conversation about the anomalies of the moon with Graham Hancock himself.

Black Magic and the Supplemental Purge

At the beginning of the week, during the opening ceremony in the beautifully decorated geodesic dome located in the front yard of the farm, one of the organizers declared with confidence that the best part about these events is how every person leaves transformed.

Hobo seeks free camping spot in Boulder!

Hello! So here is my full-hearted attempt to win a free camping spot for Reality Sandwich's fall retreat in Boulder, Utah. I will do my best to honestly explain my situation and hopefully my fellow evolvers will decide to grok it up.

Family Relations in the White House

Does anyone know what the average number of eighth or ninth cousins is for any given person? Is it really just a coincidence that Dick Cheney and Obama are eighth cousins? Or that George W. Bush and John Kerry are ninth cousins? Are we actually still living within a secret system of ancient monarchy that has tricked us into thinking that our leaders are democratically elected?

Rocking out in Vancouver

I remember it like one of those scenes from the movies where someone who has either died or gone into a coma suddenly rushes back to the light of consciousness.

Arts & Crafts (How to make fake money)

In a non-descript small town somewhere in the middle of Canada, a young bleached blond man enters a restaurant. He's wearing a button-up shirt and a pair of spectacles void of magnification. He takes a seat next to the bar and orders something classy from the young waitress. Scotch, maybe. He starts a small conversation with her by asking, sincerely, how her day is going.

About Me

Bio

I was born and raised in a small town just north of Toronto. My upbringing was very standard although I believe that somewhere around the age of 13 I must have experienced some sort of unconscious revelation that served as a catalyst for the introspective journey that I am still living today. High school was a confusing and sometimes painful experience. Day after day was spent staring out the window, just waiting. By the end of it, I had completely lost interest in any form of formal education. I missed my graduation due to a month-long trip to Ecuador with a YMCA leadership group of which I had been a member. It was the beginning of what I hope to be a life of constant travel. The year after high school, I participated in an exchange program called Canada World Youth which brought me to live with an extremely dysfunctional family in northern Quebec, and also with a dirt-poor polygamous Muslim family in Burkina Faso, each for 3 months. The years that follow include a few seasons of treeplanting, a brief attendance at Carleton University (due entirely to parental and social pressure), an exodus to the west coast where I fell in love with British Columbia and Vancouver, a couple mind-blowing experiences at Burning Man, a 3-month backpacking trip to Peru and Ecuador, cherry picking, a couple love-affairs, and many nights spent outside under the stars in awe of it all.

Nowadays I am doing a bit of traveling in Europe, particularly in Scandinavia.
