Terence McKenna Kickstarter Project

I posted this on ElektricForest a few weeks ago when the Alan Watts Kickstarter project had almost reached its deadline. Since the project for Terence McKenna has only 20 days left and 30,000 to raise i figured it might be a good time to try and spread the word a bit more.

For those of you that have not heard of Kickstarter its a website that helps fund creative projects that range from film, music, design, technology and publishing. First, you create a pitch/video of what your project is about, then you make rewards that will entice people to donate more to your project. You then have a certain number of days to reach your target. If it does not reach its target in time any money donated to the project will not be taken out of anyone's account. If it does reach its target then everybody ends up getting cool things such as Diaspora, the Cosmonaut, Kind of Bloop, and the Glif.

The project that was set up by Terence's brother Dennis, did really good in the first few weeks and is over the halfway mark already! It seems to have hit a bit of a slump the last week though so its hard to tell at this stage whether it will reach its goal in time or not.

lets hope this project will be just as successful as the Alan Watts one!
