I Smell a Catastrophe

Living in Florida during Hurricane season is never a care free time, but this hurricane season has an extra special ingredient... Oil. I try to picture what will happen to the coast and the already decaying everglades if an oil cyclone strikes land. Imagine toxic rain like none before it completely wiping out all microscopic and floral life on Americas almost island. Ever try driving on a wet road that doubles as an oil slick? Me neither and I hope I never have to. Jokingly I giggle at the thought of placing a claim with BP after the entire west coast of Florida is painted black. That might burn a hole in their already dwindling pocketbook.
Amongst all this mess I see a plan, not a conspiracy theory, but something far more divine. We are simply being taught a lesson, if we are too stupid to create an ecological disaster this epic then how could we possibly have the intellect to fix what we've done. This is an excellent example of how humanity trying to impose our "free will" on mother Earth only ends in us looking foolish and her becoming scarred. Time heals all wounds, but time is money in this wasteland, so we try to speed up time to increase our profit. The result? A steadily rapid increase in global warming and expensive rain.
Now, waiting for a cyclops storm to spiral towards my home I try to see the brighter side through my eye. Seeing a greater appreciation for everything we have lost. A pandemic of environmentalism, one that begins several reforms and campaigns to change the haphazard approach to energy. All jokes aside there will be rainbow puddles everywhere and the chaotic devastation will have a coating of toxic beauty. Finally, seeing Momma Earth lash out and clean up the oil spill her way will be a refreshing wake up call for the human race when our land is smothered by the poison we so desperately "need."
no need to toil over oil, it will be too late when nothing will grow from the soil.
