FavourPod envisions a world no longer dependant on cash currency. It'a project built by B-Spoke Computer Solutions of Edmonton, Alberta to facilitate the free exchange of gifts and talents amongst community members.

A modern implementation of the pre-money gifting economy, members enter in Offers and Wishes and the site connects them up with those people that have matching Wishes and Offers so they can do each other favours.

The two people have their interaction/exchange, preferably using an agreeable barter. If the exchange is unbalanced in some way, the difference can be set off by one member boosting the others score (in recognition of the favour 'paid forward'). Subsequently, the member who got the 'deal' has his score lowered, in recognition that they 'got something for nothing.'

With the ability to use those points to round off exchanges, you can feel free to draw upon the talents of the whole community without it costing the earth! Not only that, but you may find that your friends had more talents that even you knew about!
