Spore Video: How We're Helping Each Other In Our Initiatory Process

Here's a video of my visit to the Long Beach Resilience Spore this month. In it, I talk about how Western Culture (energetically speaking) is a house divided, how the destructive fires of the third chakra may be pushing us up the body (and world) Tree of Life to a new vibrational consciousness of the heart. You'll hear about how the Spores are helping to serve as midwives for those going through what seems to be a mass initiatory process, and how together we can create miracles to help heal our world.
I thought this might be interesting for some folks as it expresses a few of the reasons I helped start up Evolver and Reality Sandwich with all you awesome peeps (we're all a part of this after all). I also feel that we often have a lot of text about Evolver but sometimes our faces and voices are missing. Video can be fun.
My talk is about half-way through. The video kicks off with permaculturist Paul Tryba giving us some key ways to engage in emotional resilience, Ben Lawson sharing practical ways to prepare for emergency situations, Sati Ah on how Time Banks teach us to ask and receive what we need.
Special thanks to our intrepid Long Beach Coordinator, Tony Damico for organizing the event and editing the video (it was a blast to hang out with you and get to see the incredible transformational community you guys are creating). In addition to Spores, Evolver Long Beach has been organizing poetry nights, Time Bank get-togethers, beach clean-ups, and more.
(Julie James and Shania Domingo also presented on the subject of resilience, but were not captured on video).

Great video thanx for
Great video thanx for capturing and sharing. I like the way you and paul were navigating that chair ;o)
Thank you!
Thank you for letting us all in on this wonderful gathering. I love the way Paul framed the idea of the embarrassment of riches that we have as a collective body. That idea really resonated with me. In an intuitive sense I believe that many of us have already experienced the "emergent space" working and seen how natural and effortless it can be (not to deny that it there are initiatory aspects and difficulties giving birth to them or getting there, but I had a sense of what the "magic" aspect was that you were referring to).
I wouldn't have seen it if I hadn't believed it.
great video... I like the
great video... I like the point that that lady made about ppl just wanting to give but not reaching out to receive... interesting... I feel the same way although the more I think of what it is that I can give the more I realize I'm the one who needs help =)... kudos
hey Jonathan quick
hey Jonathan quick question...
If one does a Spore does it necessarily have to be the same theme as the other ones do, or can I do whatever I think it suits best for my city?
Thanks
Hello Search Monkey, No, you
Hello Search Monkey,
No, you don't have to follow suit on every topic with the Evolver spores. Evolver just asks that you do at least one spore a month, send in the post spore questionnaires and send in the email list that you gather at each spore.
It is however recommended that you try to follow some of the topics, because we feel it adds to the energy of the spores knowing that it is a worldwide focus on the topic. And one thing I've found from doing spores on topics I'm not particularly found of is that they seem to be the spores I learn the most from doing. But like I you don't always have to follow along with the topics.

thanks chris that is good to
thanks chris that is good to know... I know I've been saying I'm going to do a spore and I haven't but I might, I might... I'm in a new city soooo I need some more time but I have a couple of ideas and ppl that might wanna help but let's see what happens... but yeah is good that I don't have to do the exact themes cuz I don't see magic being attractive for Texans... ohh noo they'll probably shoot me with a riffle thinking I'm a conjure man or something... (ok not funny)...
anyway take care youall !!!! and don'r mess with Texas... lol remember the shamu commercial?
