Evolver Spores: The Spirit of Water

As untold gallons of oil gush into the Gulf, we are sadly reminded of that most vital ingredient to all life on Earth: water. Though it covers almost three quarters of the planet and fills nearly 70% of our own bodies, this precious and seemingly boundless substance is becoming increasingly scarce and imperiled. Reckless damming of rivers, wide-scale pollution, and corporate privatization threaten the free flow of fresh H2O for growing numbers of people around the world.
At the same time, this ephemeral element possesses magical shape-shifting powers, evaporating, condensing, freezing and melting in a flux of physical states. Water summons the lunar, feminine, and intuitive wisdom of consciousness, with our vast oceans granting us a glimmer into the enigma of how this life-giving substance came to our planet in the first place.
This month, join one of our 35 Evolver Regionals as they explore the mystery and history of H2O, the contemporary politics behind today’s “water wars,” and how we can preserve and protect this critical element for future generations.We will also be hosting a network-wide healing blessing for the Gulf Coast. We invite all those within the network to join us at 10:30pm EST/ 7:30pm PST to take part in a five minute healing blessing for the Gulf Coast.

I can't speak for Evolver & RS but personally I believe from my own healing process that prayer, intention, and positive energy can create healing you may not even think possible (it's certainly worked in my own life). It's more of a quantum physics/string theory approach rather than Newtonian. But for me implementing both action and thought/intention are the best approach. It's not either/or, but rather both/and. We've already had the regionals help out with some of the collection of hair for bioremediation efforts.

Dear Mr. Monte,
We create the world around us with our thoughts. You are what you eat and you are what you think and the world around you is a reflection of those thoughts. And like Gandhi said "be the change you want to see in the world."
Don't you want to feel more healing energy in the world? This planet is alive and it's Creator feels things, just as we the people, each a reflection of the Creator, feel things and we need to help her heal just as much as we need to help each other heal. Macrocosm/Microcosm. Gaia is in control here and she needs to know that we care and Joining Together as One, even in prayer and with energy does a heck of a lot. A heck of a lot. Everything is energy and right now, at this present time in history, there is a lot of energy out there, but it ain't all good is it? Some of it comes from very negative and rather alien sources and we've got to balance things out. If Praying and sending Loving vibes out to the Infinite Universe is how we do it then so be it.
And like Meg says, it's not going to hurt is it? We have to try everything and it's very sweet and thoughtful and...Loving. And Loving is always good. If someone you loved was dying wouldn't you pray for him/her? So why not the planet?

We should also include prayers for China.. On the news yesterday I saw where China has been hiding the fact that they too have a oil leaking up into their waters that is now covering 169 miles and that they are trying to keep it from spilling into international waters.
(sometimes I see through time and do not know if anyone else is aware of this yet)
I am Native American so all of my thoughts on this come from the Earth tells us what to do. She is our Mother, she is our teacher.
There is a thing that the trees do. Some trees are in the perfect place for ultimate growth. But another tree, it could be experiencing distress, could be it is not growing with great strength like other trees. the stronger tree will then send some of it roots over to the weakened tree to share it nutrients, and give of its strength to the smaller tree.
That is what I think for the oil that is spilling into the waters of the Mother in China now. the people may no know that she is in distress there too, so those within the web of love for the gulf, who feels the call, if you could please send some of your prayers for this oil accident in China too.. thank you
