to orange and deep indigo
dipping down to reveal her sweetest secrets
as the night appears above us
and the earth hugs us from below
to feel our place between gods first breath

a blink of an eye
in the life of the stars
yet here we are
here we are
the focal point
of the stars' finest moments
as we entwine under the starlight
the stars smiling as we proceed
to touch, to feel, to express
the need between our bodies
under the starlight
we are under the starlight
we are perfectly starlight
moments condensed in flesh and movement
beyond time counted in eons and light years
we are eternal as we connect through each other
as we connect through the very same act
that every one of us has done throughout time
every orgasm leading to life in some way
the expression of pleasure and passion
the beginning of life itself
even when no life is forthcoming
because possibilities belie the underpinning of life
because everything that is alive
