I studied with a ceremonialist from South america for six years. in that time I learned what needs are often fulfilled by those seeking animism and shamanry in the world today that where not brought up in those societies from birth.
Since then I have been teaching about what I have coined Bioregional animism a way of establishing and animist relationship with between self and place that is sorely lacking in the post neo-shaman"ism" world of today.
