the omega point = Qigong?

Just found this utterly enlightening article by master of Chinese medicine Roger Jahnke:

As a long time student of yoga & sometime dabbler in esoteric traditions... I feel like all the pieces simply fell into place for me recently upon discovering Jahnke's writings on Chinese medicine, particularly his emphasis on Qigong.
I say that Qigong might be the Omega Point, "the place where yin and yang meet in balance and harmony"... simply because, after learning about this ancient, ancient practice of healing & cultivation, so many loose ends were tied for me, & for a moment no questions remained. The body of practice & knowledge seems like a comprehensive, sufficiently deep, missing link for western civilization.
Jahnke gets into both physical, energetic & spiritual levels of how the practices work, & promotes the simplicity of the exercises, as even elderly & handicapped people can do them. Adopting this paradigm of wellness-cultivation-as-healthcare curbs our workaholic & consumptive tendencies, as relaxation is the 'activity' that could reduce the costs of healthcare most dramatically.
Finally, for me the notion of Qi seems to get at the inherent fluidity of the nature of being, in a way that even the chakras do not. Cultivating our energetic essence, seems so simple... yet powerful & profound. It enables a mind to relax...it is a single, expansive point to focus on. And again, promotes optimal, low-input health, for both ourselves & others. It seems, in fact, like what we humans were made for.
Some quotes from the article:
"Qi is often called 'information.' It is the essential nature of everything to be integrated and communicated."
"The most profound medicine is produced within the human body for free. "
"The magnitude of good that can arise from this simple concept is huge — good for people, families and communities, and good for business and the bottom line."
"Number one: we don’t need a Qi healer. Number two: we are a Qi healer. And number three: we would best spend our time supporting people in learning about their power to heal themselves. Qi transmission is interesting and exciting, but the real miracle of Qigong is that people can heal themselves. When healthcare profitability is dependent on keeping people powerless—whether we refer to a surgeon, an acupuncturist, or a Qigong healer—the truth about an individual’s power to heal his or her self is repressed. My opinion—this is a sin against human possibilities. I love the story in which we let ourselves in on the fact that every human being is powerful. To me, the suppression of this fact is the greatest human tragedy right now, and the greatest opportunity."
Revolutionary, democratic, simple, beautiful. Powerful, & an end-in-itself. I can hold this out to everyone as a most promising direction for inquiry.
Namaste all,
Melanie

That was fascinating. I've
That was fascinating. I've very recently started looking into Qi Gong myself, following an encounter with some Falun Gong practitioners in Toronto, in which an attempt to read their signs (which didn't go so well, Chinese and Japanese are quite different....) led to a short conversation and a fistful of literature.
Anyhow.
When you say Omega Point ... are you talking Singularity? Like as in Teilhard de Chardin's Omega Point?
The Revolution is Within
