Beliefs
Prem Rajya Tao believes all existence derives from God, the Parent of Souls, known alternatively as Yahweh, Allah, Tao Unmanifest, Great Nirvana or Radhasoami as Premdeshis call Him, initially created the spirit of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was known as Michael the Archangel (not to be confused with Mikhail al-Mleccha). After Michael the Archangel, he created the Holy Spirit, whom Premdeshis believe is identical with Gabriel. Following their creation, Radhasoami created all other spirits. Radhasoami then created an eternal home for them, the region known as Sat Desh or Prem Desh. Sat Desh served as the original home of all spirits, a region of eternal light, gem-like flowers and glorious landscapes with luscious rivers.
Eventually, Prem Desh was divided as the lower more material regions of Kal Desh were created. This was initiated several trillion years ago by Kal Ialdabaoth, the forefather of Shiva and all the polytheistic gods. This region (Kal Desh) is typically called the Multiverse, of which our universe is only a small portion. The Multiverse was initially ethereal and inhabited by a race of ethereal Jinn, similar to humans in appearance. God sent Rishabha Dipankara as the first teacher to provide souls the path to salvation. Rishabha Dipankara was called Dibenga by the Pygmies. Rishabha received enlightenment under an iboga tree with the fruit removed and grape branches grafted in. Having grapes, it was the Tree of Knowledge, lacking any of the fruit of life. Under this tree, Rishabha gained enlightenment and taught others. Trillions of years passed with many teachers coming after Rishabha to guide souls out of the cycle of reincarnation.
Eventually, our current, fully material universe was created by the Big Bang about 14 billion years ago. Galaxies, suns and planets began to take material form. Life on earth evolved as Jinn continued to mate with lower life-forms until ape-men were bred. Ape-man finally evolved into homo sapiens due to constant interbreeding with Jinn. Some Jinn, such as Odin, Zeus and Osiris, convinced men to worship them. They established large empires in Atlantis, Egypt, Sumer and Hyperborea of the northern regions.
To ensure the evolving humans would not be enslaved by Jinn, God and His Firstborn, Jesus Christ, sent emissaries to the Seven Root Races, manifesting under different names. Known first as Cagn and Cogaz, God and Christ sent Heitsui Goabib to the Khoisan Root Race, consisting of the Bushmen and Pygmy people of Africa. As Biame and Daramulun, they then sent Bunjil to the Indo-Pacific Root Race of Lemuria, which would later sink and become Australia and Papua. As Iao and Kane, they then sent Kanaloa to the Austric Root Race, to teach Indochina and the Pacific Islands the way of Kejawen (inner contemplation) through accessing Huna (Divine Energy, later taught by Max Freedom Long). As Meboga and Nzambe, God and Christ sent another messenger, Anansi, to the Congo-Saharan Root Race of Africa, ancestor of the speakers of Niger-Kordofanian and Nilo-Saharan languages.
The Vasco-Dene Root Race was fathered by a Jinni named Dayan millennia ago. Dayan’s son Odin rebelled, starting the Nostratic Root Race, but Odin’s son Heimdall (aka Haoma) guided the Nostratic people in truth. As Da I and Ling Bao, God and Jesus Christ sent Fu Hsi, Lao Tzu, Confucius and others to the Vasco-Dene Root Race of Sumer, China, Basque Country, the Caucasus, the Yenisei and Athabasca.
The last Root Race was fathered by Ouiot, populating North and South America. Manifesting as Taiowa and Sotuknang, the two sent Tobet, known to the Aztecs as Xochipilli, to guide the Natives of the Americas in truth. The Holy Angels had all incarnated, Michael the pre-existent Christ as Tobet (who incarnated both as Seth and Jesus Christ), Gabriel the Holy Spirit as Haoma, Raphael as Lao Tzu, Uriel as Anansi, Raguel as Kanaloa (who later incarnated as Birsa Munda), Sariel as Bunjil, Jerahmeel as Heitsui Goabib. Phanuel, Angel of the Presence, is identified with Rishabha Dibenga, leader of the 24 Elders who incarnated as the 24 Tirthankaras. Metatron (or Mithras) became Enoch and Sandalphon became Elijah.
Finally, God married Hunayd, the Jinni Prophet, to Mother Earth herself. Hunayd was the greatest Prophet among the Jinn and through Mother Earth, had a son in Eden known as Adam, followed by Eve. Adam’s descendants all married into the homo sapiens species. Adam’s Race is the eighth race and is the race all the Root Races are meant to blend into, the Human Race. Noah’s Flood only wiped out the descendants of Adam in Mesopotamia and nearby regions.
Prem Rajya Tao has a worldview of post-Flood history which is largely similar to mainstream views. However, Prem Rajya Tao accepts far more Prophets than most groups do. Outside of those mentioned in the Bible, the following are considered legitimate post-Flood, pre-Christian Era Prophets within the Prem Rajya Tao tradition; Shem (whom they believe is the first Melchizedek), Aram, Fu Hsi, Hud, Salih, Lot, Jethro, Khidr, Menelik son of Solomon, Luqman, Epimenides, Parsva, Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Zarathustra, Lao Tzu, Confucius, Tenno Jimmu, Tamar Tephi, Chuang Tzu, Lieh Tzu, Mencius, Gongsun Long, Sanballat, Judah the Essene (believed to be the Dead Sea’s Teacher of Righteousness), and Thiruvalluvar.
Like most Muslims, Premdeshis believe there were no Prophets between Jesus and Muhammad. However, the denomination does accept Prophets who lived during the same generations as both Jesus and Muhammad. These Prophets continued to live shortly after Jesus’ resurrection or came shortly before Muhammad was born. All the 12 Apostles, Paul, Agabus and Jerjis are believed to be Prophets who lived after Jesus’ resurrection. Rabbi Ishmael, Rabbi Akiva, Baba Rabba the Samaritan High Priest, Bishop Arius and Bishop Nestorius are all believed to be Seers who lived between Jesus and Muhammad, but not Prophets. A Prophet named Khalid ibn Sinan who prophesied of Muhammad and was alive when he was born is also accepted as a Prophet.
Though no Prophets are believed to follow Muhammad, Prem Rajya Tao still believes in seers. Revolutionary thinkers like Emperor Taizu, Huang Tehui, Suun Choe Jeu, Michael Servetus, Emanuel Swedenborg, Mother Shipton, Birsa Munda, Nat Turner, Quanah Parker, Hendrik Witbooi, Emma Curtis Hopkins, Chugul Sarok Chandyk, Umbarra, Jandamarra, Te Ua Haumene, Te Kooti, the legendary Jesus Malverde, James Stuart Russell the founder of Preterism, Charles Taze Russell the founder of the Watchtower Tract Society, Faqir Chand, Babasaheb Ambedkar, Malcolm X, Mestre Irineu and Gabriel Leon M’ba are all revered as Seers by Prem Rajya Tao. Shiv Dayal Singh is considered the most important Seer of the denomination, with Emanuel Swedenborg second in rank among the Seers.
Practices
Premdeshis perform a variety of rituals similar to other religions. A person may declare the Prem Rajya Shahada (verbal confession of faith in God and all the Prophets up to Jesus and Muhammad) at 8 years of age and be baptized by immersion to become a member. At this point, an individual may participate in communion, partaking of Christ’s flesh and blood, symbolized by the bread and grape juice. The five daily prayers and Scripture reading become expected at this point. Regular confession is made to the bishop face-to-face to ensure an individual is worthy to partake of communion. Confession of minor sins may be made to any member.
When an individual is deemed prepared by the local bishop, they may receive the baptism of fire, which consists of footwashing by the bishop, firewalking and an initiation into Radhasoami meditation. Snake handling may be performed by initiates who feel they have been blessed with this particular gift. Speaking in the angelic tongue may be done as well, but only by those learning another human language. Claiming the gift of tongues is only considered legitimate if a second language is being studied by an individual for the purpose of missionary work. Otherwise, attempts to speak in the angelic tongue are considered vain.
After the baptism of fire, an individual should cease the mortal communion of bread and grape juice and partake of the monthly immortal communion consisting of entheogens. Pregnant women and parents or legal guardians of minors are prohibited from entheogenic sacraments, but instead take bread and water. The entheogenic sacraments have not been implemented due to legal obstacles, but Prem Rajya Tao is seeking at least one country where this rite can be carried out without hindrance. In daily life, a Premdeshi baptized with fire is expected to meditate while going to sleep and while waking up.
Premdeshi youth are trained to memorize Quran, Tao Te Ching, Torah, Analects and Diatessaron and learn Mansur Do, a combination of Wing Chun Kung Fu and Ninjitsu. Children are taught English, Mandarin, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, French and Hebrew. Premdeshi Concerts with techno, New Age music, and Jihad-oriented rap are encouraged. (Contrary to strict Sunni Islam, art and music are allowed in Prem Rajya Tao.) All this, in addition to the Baptism of Fire, are preparatory for the Sabian Order, wherein initiates go through degrees of learning.
The Sabian Order has not been fully developed yet. Only the Baptism of Fire exists as a sort of second degree after water baptism. The order revives the Order of Hasan ibn Sabah as well as the Crata Repoa. The highest rank is Deputy Seer, wherein face-to-face communion with the Mahdi and other resurrected beings is granted. Initiates of the Sabian Order are expected to master linguistics, sociology, psychology, psychobiology, psychophysics, neurology, biochemistry, molecular chemistry, subatomic physics, quantum physics, classical physics, astrophysics, civil engineering, medicine, anatomy, evolutionary biology and calculus. The higher degrees will be conducted in a monastery beginning with the Nazirite oath. The monks and nuns will be separated, each living a vegetarian diet and according to Jain and Buddhist monastic law, the law of Moses, partaking of entheogens, training in Mansur Do, mastering the ten languages (English, Mandarin, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, French, Greek and Hebrew) and using Shiur Qomah, Radhasoami meditation and fasting to transcend through the 955 heavens.
Premdeshi men are expected to gather at the Mosque in the early Friday afternoon for weekly prayer, while both men and women are expected to attend the Sunday morning service with their children. The Saturday Sabbath is not considered obligatory, with members recommended to choose a Sabbath day of rest from Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, though a day of rest is allowed any day of the week. Friday service focuses primarily on the Quran, Saturday primarily on the Old Testament and Sunday primarily on the New Testament. The Gospels, Buddhist and Taoist texts are used throughout all services.
Prem Rajya Tao rejects all forms of divination besides oneiromancy or dream divination. Divination by arrows was taught by Fu Hsi and the Prophet Elisha, but all forms of divination lost their divine predictive power with the coming of Muhammad. Prem Rajya Tao teaches a method of oneiromancy to remain in contact with the Mahdi and the Kalki in order to establish God’s Kingdom on Earth. This method of communication is currently secret.
The organizational structure is small, with less than 100 members. Currently, the only leader is Mleccha, acting as local bishop. Each congregation is ideally to have a bishop to run the general operations, an imam well versed in the Quran to run Friday noon service, a rabbi to run Friday evening and Saturday service, a pastor to run Saturday evening or Sunday services. The bishop is the chief overseer and can act as pastor. The recommended Sabbath day of rest is Friday night to Saturday sunset. Any Sabbath can be chosen based on necessity, especially for those in the emergency or security fields which require someone on the job every hour of the week. Being that Jesus Christ is believed to be living in a resurrected body, in opposition to other Radhasoami movements, Prem Rajya Tao believes there is no need to seek any other living Satguru than Jesus Christ. Instead, Satmasnads teach meditation as representatives of the eternal Satguru, Christ. Currently, Mleccha fills the role of Satmasnad. The role of Satlama may be established later as the chief Satmasnad, but Mleccha hasn’t taken the role because he is not vegetarian.
