Hi Evolvers, last week I blogged about an idea to create an open source collaboration with the art community here on Evolver. I'm just writing up this second blog to flesh out more of the ideas and details behind it.

I have a proposal, an idea. The following is my best argument why it should be done. This is a little bit of a technical argument/explanation, so feel free to join in or give ideas. And please talk to me because I can't write out everything.

A world beyond Money: Our collective frakked up dream.

In order to really begin thinking about alternative economics, and to understand systems and understand our own system to hopefully design a better one, we need to start thinking about value. Any economic system needs to address this question... and I think it's a lot more central to our problems than we think.

What is community?

I think a lot of people are obsessed by the concept these days, especially here. After all, that's how the website is advertised.

Because I think everyone here has a collective interest in fostering community, I'd like to open up a discussion about it. Let me know what you think community is. I will let you know what I think community is.
