Savage Moderns: Avatar-Style Ecocide in the Real World
Niall Fahy

The most lucrative movie of all time depicts the genocidal plight of an indigenous race that gets in the way of a mining operation. But we don't have to look to sci-fi for examples of this -- up to 300,000 West Papua natives have been killed to put gold in the chips of the computer you're looking at now.

An Urban Farming Revolution
Niall Fahy

City limits normally demarcate a division between synthetic and natural. We tend to think that in our living arrangements we have to go for either culture or nature. What if we were to grow food, demonstrate sustainability, and provide green education and employment in our urban neighborhoods?

"Banish the word 'struggle' from your attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration. We are the ones we have been waiting for." — Hopi elders

About Me

Bio

Along with many others I've found that activism and spiritual growth have been converging a lot. It used to seem like the two were almost antagonistic, now there's virtually no separation. In healing and expanding ourselves, we help to heal the Earth and expand our capacity for compassionate action towards each other. In accepting everything as an expression of the All we can still work to change it.

For the past five or six years I've been researching and writing about this topic. On five continents people have demonstrated to me that we are indeed in a time of great potential for change, and that the dichotomy between outer and inner action is fading.

About myself... I was born in Ireland in 1981 and at the moment I'm living in the wonderful city of Melbourne in Australia. Main pursuits of recent years besides writing have been ayahuasca shamanism, capoeira, prankster activism, meditation/self-inquiry, Food Not Bombs, sustainability study, satsang, and working as a web designer and circus performer. I've had writing published in the Irish 'Sunday Independent' broadsheet and 'Contact'magazine in Dharamsala, India.

Please be welcome to read some of this book I've written and am trying to get published on my website, which for want of a better name currently resides at www.niallfahy.com

OK that's enough.

In love and blessings to all...
