Intro
This Earth we all call “Home” is truly an amazing place — it holds many breath taking sights — things to learn — mysteries to uncover. It’s filled with so many fine examples (both past and present) of people and communities rising to the occasion to bring about positive changes through real compassion, the understanding of “oneness”, and creativity.

But, while it’s true that humanity has accomplished many great things, built many beautiful places, created great works of art… today, many of us now see — that as a species — we are faced with probably one of the most crucial points in our known history.

Day by day, hour by hour, it’s becoming painfully clear to more and more people that if we don’t change almost EVERYTHING in terms of what and how we think and thus behave — in a very short time — probably less than a decade — we will be facing a situation where the “crises” we see unfolding around us now will shy in comparison and seem “mild” to what lies ahead if we continue along in this outdated “Everybody For Themselves” system.

Are There Solutions? Apparently yes if you believe some politicians, if you believe the marketing and even a lot of documentary films that are telling us to “Go Green” and be “Conscious Consumers”. Apparently yes if we all could just obey the 3R’s of “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle”. However… the cold-hard-truth is that this is extremely poor thinking.

Putting aside the obvious “Greenwashing” that many brands and corporations employ (BP comes to mind these days), we can all probably agree that many of the ideas and efforts are at least commendable. However, in the end, it’s time to understand, as many people already have…“Green” is not really a “solution” at all. Instead, it’s merely a “mask” on the same old game… the same old matrix and the same old paradigm.

While it may be difficult for some to accept… what’s really needed is a total restructuring of our species social and economic paradigm. A total reexamination and reorganization of priorities and resources. A total new approach to what community really means. Essentially, a (re)Evolution to bring our planet through and BEYOND GREEN!

the Idea/Concept in Brief:
We have a story that we want to share and basically, it will take form as part Travel Blog, part Radio Show and part Documentary Film (which will actually be the final culmination of everything together).

It will start by introducing an odd mix of people living in China but from different parts of the world. It will tell about how we all met and explain what we’ve been doing individually as well as collectively in our efforts to bring about positive change for the world. It will then explain that we are all going to Argentina soon in order to join with a growing group of some really amazing people to start designing and building what we call a “New Paradigm Community”. It will explain what we envision for the community and why we see it (as well as others now emerging around the world) as an absolute necessity for humanity’s collective future.

While we are still in China, we want to take the opportunity to illustrate some aspects of the place today. Essentially, show some things rarely addressed by the global mainstream medias. This should dispel some ludicrous myths about the place and the society and at the same time…. perhaps reenforce some perceptions that are true… but just not for the reasons that many people have been falsely led into believing.

From there, our group will begin its journey west towards Argentina. But… along the way, we plan to stop in some key places around the world that we feel really have something to share in terms of what’s already been happening, what needs to happen and how we can all better work together in a saner society and with a different economic structure.

As it stands right now, we are planning to stop in India because there is a community called Auroville that has been functioning/forming for over 40 years. Essentially, it’s based on spirituality and what many may call “higher consciousness”. Then, and in order to provide a different perspective… or “approach” to community… (specifically the more “Scientific & Technological Approach”) we want to visit a place called Mondragon in Spain. Mondragon was founded in 1956 and is a federation of worker cooperatives based in the Basque region.

These kind of communities… as different, yet at the same time similar as they are… would give us the chance to learn more from their experiences and aspirations and hopefully, give us some insights into what we can do to blend aspects of each and make something new and more holistic.

Finally, we want to examine the emerging power of online communities. Specifically we would like to introduce and promote things such as “Truebook”. Truebook is a soon to be launched online community that will be radically different from what we see with the more popular and mainstream type online communities as it will focus on transition, consciousness and new paradigm community design, strategies and building methods.

In essence… this will be a human story, a story of adventure and travel. A story that shows the beauty and diversity of our amazing planet and a story that will illustrate some REAL and practical solutions and initiatives that have worked in the past and some new ones that are emerging now.
