Weird Oyster Shell Synchronicities

So, I will admit when my life gets weird Evolver is probably one of the first places I turn. Recently, I have been having weird, strange, and probably even absurd synchroncities around oyster shells.

For me many of the synchronicities in my life have been deep, meaningful and obvious in their meaning. For instance, before I pursued a career in Chinese Medicine I had lots of interactions with bears: tracks, signs, life sightings, etc. People would come with me on hikes who had never seen bears and we would see one on a day hike in the Cascades. Then, when I went to Chinese Medical school the sightings/experience died way back.

Last summer I had a lot of weird experiences and dreams involving clouds and hummingbirds. This was echoed by a lot evolvers and ended up with a hummingbird crop formation and lots of weird aerial phenomenon over the last year (including the Norway spiral). Theses summer and then fall experience seemed spiritual significant and carried a lot of portent.

What's been happening recently doesn't seem to carry the same weight at all, it's just weird: I keep coming across oyster shells in weird places.

The first time this happened was about five years ago in the Catalina Mountains in Arizona. I was hiking a dry stream bed and came across a very old, weathered oyster shell. It was not a fossil, but it was clearly aged. I wasn't that far from a campsite, but oysters are a pretty odd camping food. I pondered over the find for awhile and then just filed it away as an odd experience.

Time passed, and then last weekend while in the Cascade mountains. I had pretty much the same experience. I was at a high man-made lake called Diablo, and I found another old, weathered oyster shell on the beach. It was a rocky beach and yes people do go there, but again it was an odd find since it was a non-camping area and doesn't seem like food people bring into the wilderness.

This Thursday my daughter came home from preschool talking about seashells that she found in the stream near her school. She mentioned that there were three shells found in the stream, and I assumed they were clamshells that she was mistaking for seashells (she's almost four and an excellent naturalist, but I did think she might have gotten a little confused).

Today, we unpacked her backpack from school and inside was an old, weathered oyster shell. No kidding, not joking. The weirdest things is that all three shells are startlingly similar in appearance: they all appear old, beat up, maybe weathered by water but not fossilized.

So, evolver's any ideas on what this means? Anybody else having weird synchronicities out there? Is something about to be found in the sea? What are the meanings of oysters? (Aphrodisiacs?)

Help me out if you can.
