lately i have found myself in a true struggle, both in my spirit and my ego. my life has changed immensely in the past few years and i can honestly say, that i would never have thought i would be facing the decisions i am facing, today.

We watch as our Earth is taken form us. we watch as her resources are consumed with no regard. we watch as our oceans are poisoned and our forests burned. we wonder why we feel this big hole within our spirit when we're working so hard to be happy. i would like to believe we are resourceful, that we can change.

i often catch myself in thinking that not only are we headed down a very bleak path as a conscious group of people but we seem to be accelerating our indefinite ignorance. we have all watched together the increasing need for technology in our everyday lives(as i sit in front of my laptop).

Growing up in liberal Northern California, and even more liberal Sonoma County, spirituality has never been a quiet subject around here, and even so to the point that i completely lost touch with it. But not only until recently have i held the true appreciation for what is "actually" going on.
