Reposting this from the Toronto regional group, wondering what you all make of this theory?

I haven't read the book but the website explains the basic premise very well. Authors Graham Gynn and Tony Wright discuss the idea that society's sickness stems from a fundamental lack of proper nutrition globally. That ever since our migration from rain forest environments our diets have become deficient in the basic chemistry vital for proper brain function.
Essentially, what they are saying is that the vast majority of the human population never experiences proper brain function and that our inability to recognize this is itself a symptom of our cognitive deficit.
A tough concept to digest but I did feel like it was a reasonable explanation for what to me often appears like a species wide inability to 'do the right thing'. The more I thought about the idea that our illness on a global scale could be the result of malnutrition at the individual level the more this made sense to me. 'Wealthy' industrialized nations suffer from an overabundance of unhealthy foods while the rest of the world suffers from a lack of any food and we all suffer under a broken system based on flawed thinking.
-deep breath- OMMMMMM...
Okay, so they don't offer many solutions to this problem in the course of their website but I can't help but think that raw, living foods rich in flaveniods would be at least a good first step. One of the things I most often hear from raw-foodists and fasters is 'how much more clearly I can think!'. Hmmm...
Great forward by Dennis McKenna here too! Check it out.
Peace all!

Hey!!
I read this book 2 years ago
It is fucking mind blowing! If you can't afford it he has a free .pdf in the book section of his website.
I've actually switched to a mostly fruit diet and have been doing other things that would work to rebuild the neural system and i feel unbelievable. The results are ridiculous. There is actually more and more evidence springing up that support this theory all the time. The problem, obviously, is that we are too deluded to even connect the dots!
Tony just launched a new book project, so check it out and help out if possible. Its like kickstarter so theres killer perks. http://igg.me/p/52225?a=404136
This stuff is extremely important in my opinion, and it has to hit the mainstream if we are actually going to turn this planet around. All these problems we face are a reflection of this internal glitch. You can't permanently fix one without first addressing the other which is the underlying cause. A fix is well within our reach and would take but a fraction of the cost of an atom bomb, most likely
