Shilajit: Ayurvedic ancient medicine; "conqueror of mountains and destroyer of weakness"
Adaptogenic (Rasayana), youth enhancing mineral humic pitch from the Himalayan mountains. Optimally found as a cold water extract, which concentrates the humic and fulvic acids. Shilajit, with its high concentration of fulvic acid, is one of the most potent adaptogenic materials that can be utilized by human design, pulling out impurities (toxins) in the body and releasing them. Improves recovery time after strenuous exercise or stress and stimulates the immune system into optimal functioning. Shilajit is a powerful blood purifier with the ability to drive minerals into the muscles and bones for ultimate body strength. Since these minerals are in simple ionic form, they are absorbed by the body with little energy. Shilajit is a potentiator for other herbs, meaning it amplifies the benefits of other herbs by enhancing their bio-availability.
I highly recommend starting a Shilajit regimine daily. Great for detoxification, infiltrates your cells with organic minerals, taking the place of inorganic minerals which are far too prevalent in our environment at the present. If we are saturated with minerals that are beneficial to the system, there is no room for the toxins to take hold.
Since starting my daily shilajit intake, I have noticed increased clarity, strength and detoxification in my system. This is along side the consumption of a variety of different herbs, mainly ayurvedic herbs, and have only released these properties into my system at a more efficient rate. Neurological connections have been improved in my brain, and have assisted in the release of heavy metal toxins that were imbedded in my system from environmental and amalgam toxicity. These are personal conclusions, that I have come to, and finding specific scientific evidence for this would be far from possible, so I go based on my feeling.
When I base my diet on intuition, or feeling, I find that it is molded into a true healing tool. Yet, I often get caught up in flavor and other emotional responses to the food, if truly listening to what the body needs there is unlimited potential for healing. I am a master food artist, and this creates a challenge to myself based on the experience that my food tastes amazing and is beautiful. So eating less, and utilizing simple recipes and foods, is the optimal direction to go. Would love to hear others' experience with creating healing foods and the consumption that follows. How do we create beautiful satisfying foods that do not perpetuate overeating and overstimulation, or is this just a product of being in a society where we are always looking for more based on our consumer driven ways and this programming to want more than what we have, that we must overcome?
