One of the many interesting things about the internet is that it's very difficult to keep secrets. Gmail for instance openly say that they use information from the body of your email in order to fund the show. Let's say all affairs are run according to this law of openness.
Take the world economy for example, one of the reasons it is in trouble because of individuals, secretly hoarding cash in the form of pensions & personal investment policies.
Imagine a world (or a higher state of consciousness) where there were no military secrets, no national borders & no gold reserves. Let's say all of the worlds mined gold was distributed equally to the worlds population...
But, getting back to opening the borders. All of the nations of the world would have to do this simultanousley, otherwise a few countries may get swamped.
During an interview in Dublin once, I was asked for my policy on immigration. The interviewer said my idea (opening all borders) sounded like chaos. Perhaps she was right & for the first 5 years it could be holy hell, but this is still my position. :-)
Anyway these are my inane thoughts. Thanks very mush Kali for your well written blog.
Peace and Laughter,
Richard

I would say that such an idea scares the hell out of me.
Also part of this day is the day when someone who is racist or prejudiced can find out if the person that he/she may want to hire is 1/16th of a racial background he/she doesn't like, if they have some sort of "sexual deviancy"(i.e., the potential employee likes spanking), if they have a religion that they don't like, and so forth.
If everyone knows everything about everything else than those among us who are dominated by hate will know who to unleash it on. "Broom", "gay", "leather", and "polyamorous" closets exist for a very good reason.

Would he were fatter! But I fear him not:
Yet if my name were liable to fear,Â
 I do not know the man I should avoid
So soon as that spare Cassius. He reads much;
He is a great observer
