The Creative Force behind the manifest world is a Unifying Principle. It permeates and gives life to all matter. Apart from Creative Force there is no life. It is the Intelligence behind the swirling atoms, the building blocks of all things material. It is the one shared attribute that gives common beingness to all things. It is the Source that interconnects and makes all things one at the deepest core.

Creative Force is the Master to which all things must obey. A tree or planet can not be other than a tree or a planet. These must obey the Creative Impulse to be exactly as they are created to be. There is no choice. In all of creation only man can be found in a state of disobedience, though not by choice, but by circumstance.

The world of man is ruled by the spirit of the world. The spirit of the world, which inhabits mans mind, is expressed outward into the world through his behavior and works. The spirit of the world stands in opposition to the Creative Impulse. Man, who should be unified with Creative Force lives in duality. Separated from his Root, he is forced to live in separation, unhappy and in deep anxiety. The pain of his separation causes him to search for meaning, sometimes in the right place, often in the wrong.

An attribute of Creative Force is Still Awareness. In man this attribute is observed to be Still Awareness absent thought. It is observed in a newly born child. Without word or thought the child looks out from behind his eyes, aware, searching, wondering, with a mind yet untouched by thought, word, idea, belief or ideology. But this virginal state does not last too long. It is soon pressed upon, indoctrinated with the thoughts of the egoic collective the child is born into. The egoic mind, displacing Still Awareness, grows to become a collection of culturally imprinted thoughts and beliefs. A seemingly separate, alone, insecure false self comes to stand in the place where Awareness once was.

The shakiness of this false identity, born as it is of the egoic collective, then learns to seek approval of its “parent”. Even if it rebels, it remains identified with the community by its opposition, by its contrast to it. Conformity or rebellion both equally reinforce egoic identity.

Mainly the collective ego is made up of communities of individual egos with similar thoughts and belief systems. The communities are then divided by geographical, national, state, cultural or other lines. The clearly defined divisions become an outward representation of the division and separation from the One Unifying Force.

Each community is governed by self-preservation instinct, and a kill or be killed mind-set. It is a deep and deadly hypnosis. Each man feeling separate and alone in the world, seeking identification from his community in either conformity or rebellion to it. Yet man, in reality, is no more who his community tells him he is than a tree is a whale. In fact, a tree, a whale or any other created thing, can only be what they were created to be, fully and completely. Man alone comes into the world as he should be but is quickly taken over by the spirit of the world, by the pressure of the collective mind-think and belief system, and thus is transmuted into that which he was never meant to be. The defective collective ego then forms civilization. Nations and organizations reflect all of the basic dysfunctions of mankind living disassociated with his Root.

The spirit of the world is the backbone of our collective, egoic based civilization. The religious, political and economic power structures of the world, well-meaning as some might have been, are empty and flavorless at best, and heartless, oppressive monolithes at worst. Societies are crumbling pyramids of vain glory, rusting infrastructures of mass mind-think, elaborate though dysfunctional constructs destined to crumble and fall apart as all that is not Eternal does. Only still awareness does not pass away, but lives on eternally. All things material will die but only man can be grafted into the Eternal.

The Christian bible teaches that there will be a New Earth, a reign on Earth of Good where death nor moth nor rust will have a place. It teaches that this New Earth will come only when the old earth, in all its egoic forms and structures pass away. It should not be a surprise then that we watch the world as we know it sink evermore into dissolution and begin to crumble before our eyes. All that we thought stable and permanent, our countries, our money, our homes, our ideals and beliefs are all dissolving like the passing thoughts that created them.

The spirit of the world, and all its impermanent structures must, of necessity, crumble and fall before the new and eternal can arise. The mind of man, ruled by the spirit of this world, must finally be displaced with Eternal Reality. The good news is that that Eternal Reality is awaiting all who wish to drop their cultural conditioning, with all its thoughts and belief systems, with its sense false of a separate self and return, as a child, to the One Source of all, to the Still Awareness he was born with and lost to egoic culture.
