New Years Opinion, revisited

This is a blog I wrote this past new years eve. I wasn't on this site at the time, but seeing as the year is almost have over, I thought it might be interesting to compare these thoughts with what has transpired so far. In my opinion, sadly not much of difference has occurred yet.
A New Year’s Opinion
…Out of sight, out of mind is more a truism, reality today than ever before. Living “in the now” has taken on a whole new meaning and seemingly what’s past is of no matter and what’s ahead is avoidable if possible. Such is the boating excursion up the ancient river de Nile. Everyone got their paddles?
Here’s a new year’s thought to consider: The reality that we are all inhabitants of the same PLANET, is not the same as: we belong to a “global- economic/ environmental/governmental market existence-village"
Nuance and subtext is everything.
Nature promotes diversity, species evolution promotes diversity, problem solving in life encourages alternatives. Yet living on one planet demands a unity of respect, doing no harm, living WITH, not AGAINST nature.
Our continents are no longer one, no longer Pangaea. We have opened our perception to recognize more than a “flat” world. Our planet, Earth, should be seen as a new concept of Pangaea. If we are all inhabitants of one planet, we should recognize a shared purpose of unity.
What is the unity of purpose we all should support?
LIFE
If you hear a child cry, you help.
If you see a man drowning you offer your hand.
If you know someone is starving you share food and water.
You live and breathe.
These are auto-responses. With out the social control distractions such as politics, race, religion, anxiety, profits and fear, we would act automatically to help, protect and nurture LIFE.
It’s not the shape, size, color of the vessel, it’s the quality of the essence within.
More than anything else LIFE wants to LIVE. Against all odds LIFE continues to emerge.
We are wasting our gift of life trying to control it, punish it, hammer it into an unnatural state dictated by our myopic designs. Our perception of life is no longer what we were originally given.
It hasn’t been for a very, very long time.
LIFE isn’t changing, our definition and perception of it is.
We are seeking the meaning of life that we have modified and called good.We are “creating” life based on a one-dimensional plane of knowledge.
We are autistic children in the universe with disconnected egos.
We can no longer see with ease and clarity the presence of the universe in all its glory in our night skies. Our distractions of hubris flood the spectacle with our own dim light of realization.
We can no longer feel the earth beneath our feet as the ancient Native American nations once did. We can no longer be soothed by the silence of a vast expanse of prairie. We can no longer enjoy the pure taste of water and food once free of pollution and genetic modification.
Nature surrounds us with billions of sensory experiences every second and we unconsciously infuse it into our beings, yet our own creations, crude, vulgar, attack our consciousness with tetra-bytes of indigestible content and we quickly become bored with living.
Nature is more vast than anything we could ever create and yet it doesn’t OVER STIMULATE us. Think about that.
We create things, that with in mortal life spans, not only over stimulate but rapidly devolve into unsustainable, non-supporting conditions for LIFE.
It’s too bad we don’t make taking time to consider this a priority.
But yet, that’s all part of the myopic arrogant/ignorant myths we have become co-dependent on.
Recognition is the first step in becoming well again.
The solution this time, I believe will involve a singular individual effort each moving toward unity. All the societal politics and religions have lost their original essences long ago and can only continue to distract. Those that feel they will need a said religion or political affiliation will find a more simple and rewarding solution as they make the journey from here, today, to there, tomorrow.
The question is, if the only way you can find out and see the supportive, sustainable and nourishing differences is to move now toward that subconscious unity, and you only have to trust yourself, then why haven’t you begun the journey?
This new year, take responsibility for understanding your place on this planet as an individual, not as a nationality or of a creed, but as an integral part of the LIFE on this Earth. Lets stop living against it and start living within it.
